Because Congress deliberately tried to trap him by asking, that if PoJK is considered part of India and you will work to bring it back - will you do the same for Aksai Chin?

Was he supposed to say No? And even bigger reason why this argument is dumb: Does China not routinely claim all sorts of Indian territory that was never in question? Did they not ever raise questions on Sikkim? Do they not claim Ladakh & Arunachal to date? Do they not specially stamp some Indian visitors' passports depending on what state they're from?

Then what is wrong in India saying the same about Aksai Chin? These are all just excuses for the Chinese.
what he said then was never wrong. But, if he was so serious then, he should've been less complacent later on. He was the best person to have given the go-ahead to merge ITBP with IA. But he dithered till things got out of hand. Now, well we're at war (limited- or whatever prefix suits it), so let's rest this topic for a later date.......

War with china is inevitable. We have avoided it for way too long. If we avoid it today we will have to fight later.

Nothing changes that neither itbp nor army.

Chinese need to empty tibet till then any peace is only temporary.

Guys a little bad news,
JUST IN :A Bridge collapsed in pithoragarh, UK ,when a Truck carrying heavy construction material to LAC was passing over it . Both Driver and helper reportedly seriously injured Sad News !!
excessive load for such a bridge.......such things are common for the short-span bridges over Bengal alluvium, the bridge sites give in early and on top of that, jungle rules for loading the trucks.

Those who are posting Deployment of men and machine by Indian armed forces are requested to prepare an exl sheet with all deployment details and hand over that document to the Chinese Ambassador in Delhi.

I don't understand why our esteemed MODs are allowing people to post sensitive info in this forum. Shame on us.

With India in UNSC and 2 years of veto power this maybe a good time to test megaton nukes that we can use against China in the future

Nothing sensitive here. People are only posting what's already out on the internet. Chinese have satellite to watch our heavy equipment moving as do we to watch their build up.

Non permanent members Don't get veto.
But it's still a good time for megaton tests as no one will dare oppose us.

Unlike permanent members of the council, the non-permanent members do not have veto power. However, they have “collective right of veto” — any resolution of the UNSC has to be passed by at least seven non-permanent members even if all the permanent members support it.
