Well. Whther the test carried out by China is in China or Pakistan.. India will bring all its toys frm tactical nukes to megaton city busters fr testing ... The differential benefit from testing will be more for India than china, as India has not tested as many times...

Chinese are exactly operating the way as a wanna be superpower operates.

Britain had buffer zones in India before ww1.

US made whole north and south America buffer zone after ww2.

China has pak and North korea and using SCS to make ASEAN countries as buffer zone against the competitor.

Now who can counter north korea closely south korea and japan so nK is armed to nuclear powers now who gets the blame Kim jong. And last year

China has land borders with 14 Countries and all its land borders are settled and demarcated except with Vietnam and India. China has no Land threat from any of the neighbors except for a perceived threat from India. So PLA is not deployed on any border per say except at borders with India. PLA today is guarding the internal rule and control of CCP over the Chinese landmass as the ultimate instrument of the party. They are all deployed in the rice bowl hanging with the stick.

So where is the stretch? They can easily move two group Armies in the given time frame and plan to have a cup of tea with you..

But there is a stretch I will tell you. If India smashes them at the borders then it is a big stretch for them to save their reputation and image. PLA image destroyed means CCP destroyed and China image destroyed..

last year US got out of INF treaty with Russia.

This year new strategic arms reduction treaty is closing to deadline and just like how they are pulling out of treaty they will also not renew this.
