Seriously we can't even bring to pangang tso MarkVI patrol boat of US Navy . Its 72 Tons neither you can airlift it neither you can move it by road with trailber in those high mountain passes . Unless we open a small shipyard on the banks of lake and building them right there . Chinese did exactly that built their Patrol boats near the lake .

We need at least 10s of these MarkVI ones to patrol Pangang Tso it carries 20 soldiers easily with decent fire power

Indian equivalent is Immidiate Support Vessel.
23 operational with Navy.
BSF too has similar sized boat.

Guys calm down. Leave the situation to the military and GOI.

India cannot move first as India is showing the Chinese buildup to the world. India is building a consensus against China. This consensus is more important than war.

Also acting in tune with players like Japan and USA is advantageous. Acting alone is dangerous.

While war can start anytime now, it is clear that China is more in bullying mode rather than fighting mode. But our government is having none of it.

How long this 'bullying mode' lasts is anybody's guess.

My opinion is that we are close to an actual war. China's deployments in Pak bases are specially worrying; as there is an effort to encircle India. I would say a linkup with USA is critical now though it does not seem like GOI is serious about alliances. This situation could change though.

And we've seen military muscle being flexed multiple times in past wrt Pakis as well. What happened? It's the usual rattling the can, moving things around to tell us things are being done.

How do you expect them to do anything when they're absolving China of doing any wrongdoing? PM comes and says nothing happened, we already gave befitting reply, NSAB says reports are exaggerated et cetera? That's not a prelude to anything, it's brushing it under carpet so they don't have to do anything. Military action is preceded by rhetoric, it needs to be planted for months to start the mil action at its end.

Nobody want the mil action to be right now, but they don't even have the gumption to unleash the wartime rhetoric. That's why I think all this is just rattling the tincan they call defence of the realm.
You should know that, what the pm has said and the situation of GOIs behavior in the ground is very different. And yes, there was a befitting reply given. 59 plus soldiers on their side died! W
I don’t get why some people have to twist and turn every thing modi says. It’s like you want to feel like we lost. If that’s your nature, I can’t help you.
If everything is taken care of, why are we deploygin more and more and purchasing emergency equipment. Connect the dots. If you’ve given up on the govts way of working, I got nothing more for you.
We have moved all assets required for a large war.
DFI has become the place for everyone to cry like a bitch. All the pakis and the chinks from their respective forums would be looking at ours and laughing their assses off.

Lt Gen Narsimhan advisor MEA & Member NSAB has given a interview, which in my mind is most disappointing. He seems to be articulating that Govt policy is of surrender.

Interview :-

Interpretation:-

"For good measure even after casualties, the soldiers didn't open fire that day, but now our men will have to go prepared for such events with equipment like riot gear."
So, Indian Army on China border is about to become riot police..

here is my wish list by 2024 :megusta:
(some numbers have been reduced then whats in inventory, due to expected loss average)
mki - 330+
29s - 75+
Tejas Mk1- 90+
jags - 80+
mirages - 35+
rafale - 60+
LCH - 40+
dhruv - 70+
rudra - 80+
AWACS and Tankers (15, 8)

if this war actually happens, US will definitely either jump in it or have to jump in it. then Russia will not act like a friend. they are already showing that symptom. so I don't think MKI and 29 numbers will be like this.
and the prevailing situation is showing, there will be some US AC at this mix, preferably F18 or F21.

Tsk, you don't get my drift. Even if we have killed a 1000 yellow snakes, we will have to keep the rhetoric of outrage going. Because the moment people think we made them pay a bit, the desire for revenge will go down. If you keep saying no one entered our borders, people will not be very enthused about pushing beyond LAC into Gosthana.

Imagine the fervour right after Galwan. GoI could have nuked Beijing and got every Indian to dance (you know what I mean). You would need that sort of support throughout for a war. You can't have have your speech and actions differ and suddenly one day say, "mitro we're at war now".

I understand the actions and words are diverging. I'm saying that's a wrong approach if you're gearing up for a war.

Propaganda and outrage needs to be carefully manufactured. We aren't doing any of that.

We build mki from scratch only pay royalty to Russia.
So in wartime we will build as much mki as we need with or without Russian approval.

We can build that rhetoric now and make thinks more convoluted where people start demanding more and more for an immediate response. Or we can stay silent and build up the necessary requisites for war. That includes fighter planes, ammunition and new equipment. we can then strike like they struck us. Staging a false flag near the border. There are lots of ways to go to war. Not just one.
the most important thing is, do we have all the necessary resources to go to war? If not, then wait and gather those resources before moving forward.

Can HAL make Su30mki engines without sourcing the raw materials from Russia? Because if that is possible then we can make as much Su30mki as we want and pay royalties to Russia later when we win the war

deception also plays a major role.
