We need at least 5 parallel production line

Tejas Line that can manufacture MK1 than MWF line.
Su 30 line.
AMCA line
ORCA line.

Trusting All the IAF with HAL would be disaster.

huh.. U seriously need to focus on cost analysis my friend. Proxy warfare is much cheaper method. Our Govt. has also pumped enormous resources in keeping Kashmir stable. U need to see how much we spend on J&K out of our GDP. Look we are now going the same to Pakis they are now losing soldiers almost everyday in Baluchistan & Sindh. I'll take that as a win everyday.
As I said it is not an ideal situation but we are still moving forward right now look at pakistan they spend so much to destabilize us while their own people die of hunger is that true in our case no.

It might be costly for us too but for now this is the only thing we can do.

realistically, is it even possible to produce 16-18 tejas with existing mk1 configuration in a year? how many tejas we are producing currently?

i agree with your point on mk2/mwf.. it needs to go LSP by 2023/mid 24. any delay will be too late and will have the same fate as tejas mk1
Currently, Tejas mk1 is being made at the rate of 8 aircraft/year from 2 production lines which are not operating at full capacity due to order of only 40 jets.
A new production line will become operational come November for making 18 trainer aircraft(8 Mk1+ 10 Mk1A) which is capable of making 8 aircraft/year.
With all three production lines at full capacity, 20 aircraft/year is possible, but that needs confirmed orders of 83 Mk1A.

agree, we need to produce tejas mk1 today then thinking about t-mk2 or amca producing tomorrow..

tejas mk2 need to go lsp by mid 2024 latest and other 2 need to lsp by 2026 latest.. any further delay will be pointless
