Look at the confusion in govt. That's not a govt ready for war, that's a govt ready to capitulate and declare it as 4D chess masterstroke victory.

I won't place the fault on Govt. Our economy is at its weakest in last 2-3 years due to corona & other factors. Some people question China's timing but I think it was accurate. One cannot simply declare war without thinking about the consequences. Talking about fighting a war with China is one thing & declaring it is another. How many countries actually have the guts to stand up to China? Even US refrains from having a direct confrontation against them. We must give time to Govt & they actually know what they are dealing with. Tough times we are dealing with. Panicking won't do us any good.

If I may say, Army isn't ruling out localized skirmishes at PP14, Panggong Tso and Y junction or any other faceoff points.
But, it is still not sure whether that will result in a full scale war.
If horizontal or vertical escalation doesn't take place, at what time or on which provocation to bring in Air Force?
Similarly when to use artillery?
Are the skirmishes be played out with local advantages and disadvantage?
Is an escalation favourable to us?
All these and many more questions are analysed. But, what the common denominator of those questions, PP 14 or Panggong Tso skirmish cannot be ruled out.

This is what General V P Malik said in 1999 at time of kargil we are exactly 21 years away from that day today and we are still repeating the same dialogue . Shows that how much our politicians and babus taken our armed forces seriously . Who knows even after 20 years we will have another situation when we may have to use same dialogue .

Pak F-16s will not be permitted by the US to be used against India due to the Pak - US End User Agreement. Pakis got rapped on their knuckles when they used it against India last year. This time it's a no go for the Pakis to even think of any offensive use of their F-16s against India. They could however use it in the AD role well within their territory only.

So all this talk by the Pakis about a two front war with the opening gambit with F-16s and PLAAF J-10s is just a lot of hot air!
