Not hours.. but can happen within days.. In world war2.. The panzer divisions would race forward.. and the logistics would catch up in a few days.. The only way to success in mountain warfare is to overwhelm enemy with men .
Once we cut off Chinese supply lines ( which are 1000km+ long Chinese can't re supply men to tibet.

Then Indian force + tibet uprising ( Indian tibetians too)== game over for china.

Though for this first we need airsuperioty over Lhasa .

No we cant invade.. In that case we ll face full force of chinese air and land power which ll be in range .. We cn only defend ourselves .. why on earth india ll invade Tibet by the way ..
