In mountain and hilly areas where the apaches fly low and fast, manpads are the biggest threat. Either way, the apaches have countermeasures for such scenarios. Long range sams will first need to detect the apaches...it’s quite difficult/nearly impossible to do that when flying low and fast.
Remember, these systems were developed by the us dod for taking out large columns of soviet tanks. That’s their primary application. Factoring in modern Manpad threats In Afghanistan(Stingers) and Iraq(Iglas and Chinese copies), the Apache has performed quite well.

To be more accurate, it’s not speed. It’s the altitude that would matter. Altitude for avoiding detection.
Speed for decreasing Manpad hit probability. As these flying tanks have countermeasures for manpads, it should not be that big of a problem.

The payload is a high-explosive, copper-lined-charge warhead powerful enough to burn through the heaviest tank armor in existence.

Its radar can draw a neat picture of anything within its range ranging from trucks, to troops to small vehicles, identify the general class of each potential target and pinpoints these targets on to the pilot's and gunner's display panels.
