Agree but they get to setup industry at one place to cater to 2 large economies and at much cheaper rate than home country. CCP is protective about its own economy and china is itself a big market for those companies. So its give an take still viable for them to setup manufacturing there.

a league with US (which is 5 times bigger GDP). Many American companies that
setup shop in China got cheated ,technology stolen and lost money. Chinese market
is big but it is not a free and open market. Chinese want to keep the money to themselves.
This is obvious where China has a trade surplus with everyone they trade with.

Indeed intellectual property theft is real in PRC. Many small arms companies are now looking into India because of our military's size (although our gun laws) and also as we are a democracy.
