Over the last few days, a lot has been written on current Chinese strengths/assets along the LAC - along with some projects currently under development (as well as their estimated dates of completion) like building Hardened Aircraft Shelters for fighter jets @ bases near LAC.
Based off of what I've read, and what I've seen in this whole episode; I think it's time India lands a hammer blow on PoJK within the next year or two. The process of eradicating Paki terror, settling extended Kashmir conflict, and slowly unraveling Pak as a nation (by ratcheting up their various internal disputes) needs to be put in motion.
Because the Chinese are not just going to go away; they'll take this humiliation as a further motivation/cause to go back and strengthen, before trying their luck at a more opportune time (possibly a couple years down the road).
It would serve Indian interests, and seriously simplify India's defense calculations if Pak was a largely neutered threat/internally destabilized nation by then - and we only had to factor in a conflict with the Chinese.
As it is, the Chinese are going to have to spend some time regrouping from all the global pressure + consequences of this COVID outbreak, and they're boxing themselves in by activating all their conflict zones. Absolutely nobody will be able to say/do anything at all if we start putting the Pakis in place for good.
