The main questions remain to be unanswered.

1. If India was militarily weakened due to division of Army between India and Pakistan and then the Indian Army was fully stretched in J&K due to Pakistani aggression etc, instead of strengthening it why reduction of the strength of IA by 50,000 between 1950 and 1954 was carried out? Why another further reduction of 50,000 was ordered?

Think i anslwer this one point.

Nehru's over confidence and his NAM agenda did him in. IN his quest to be a fast track leader and messiah of peace ( Did takla slept with him to send the peace worm into him ? ) his thought process was that India and world do not need military. A lot of people are completely underestimating the strength of the Chinese forces and over hyping both our capability and their economic downturn. And we don't have ability to liberate theirs.

Ladakh is very much pro India. Chinese would have tough time there. Same Arunachal. None of the local factors help them.
Kashmir is different case but China does not have a direct access to the valley & we have more boots in Kashmir than anywhere.

Tibet on other hand will not help Chinese against India.
Same with HongKong.
Same with Taiwan.

there is something going on within the Chinese political system. They opened up multiple fronts just for the sake of telling world oh look we can rule you up. Such aggressive posturing is linked with the sticky situation Xi finds himself in, where he needs to convince the CCP supremos that he has what it takes to lead China in a post-Covid 19 world.
