Let us get the facts straight. All troops on border duty always carry arms, especially when leaving post. Those at Galwan on 15 June did so. Long-standing practice (as per 1996 & 2005 agreements) not to use firearms during faceoffs.
I have a really difficult time believing this if our soldiers were really armed the Chinese would have thought a 100 times before moving to engage us and I seriously doubt they would engage us with melee weapons if our troops were armed.

It is common knowledge that we were treaty bound and so were they and thats why they found a loop hole and attacked us like cowards.

The General must know that the Unit had gone to verify the implementation of an agreement of disengagement and not a military operation.
Being Former Army Commander Northern Command he should know that it is consider a sensitive task and Army brass desire and demand that the CO should personally lead such a patrol.

A an Army Officer he should know that when the troops are involved in CQB in physical fight no sane man will call artillery fire to get his troops ponded with shit.

From all indications, it is clear the unit was well prepared - had artillery observes with him as also the engineer's element with him. See the list of casualties.

Such fracas and violence can only be dealt with in a manner that was done. The former Army Commander is a fool asking such stupid questions.. if at all he must ask these questions to MEA and former Chiefs why agreed to BPTA.

so you think they haven't had this in mind? They'll launch pulsed EM attacks against the incoming jets and surely be expecting them. I think we haven't "hardened" the electronics of our jets against EMP attacks.....
Jags are meant to drop nukes..and it is expected that they r prepared or tested against emp
There are even such labs where this is done in India.

Maybe it's early to say, but they have shown their intentions clear. It's really corny to bring up historic analogy, but lets not repeat history and Indian leaders regardless of party plan and implement accordingly. Let's not repeat the desecration of Vijayanagara by a deadly alliance. Even if no conflict arises things cant go back to normal.

They always viewed India as an adversary that they want to destroy since 1962; and reinforced this
belief for decades with their actions . It is only now India is waking up.
