MEA claims none of the soldiers are missing.

That could also be interpreted as 'those in Chinese custody are accounted for safe as of now' so none are missing.

Someone needs to ask specifically if every soldier is back on the Indian side.

Yep, agree. I think India should rethink that yes we have been caught when we were napping but this situation now can only be resolved by lowering the thresholds what we set. For the last 58 years , we have preparing for this and already have strategic weapons in place in order to offset the much larger enemy.
Trying to match China on conventional strength at these difficult times does not make much sense to me atleast. But our armed forces must have already taken that into consideration. Which only means that we have not been able to gather enough support to stop incoming Chinese assault, and we might be all alone into this.
Sometimes I wonder as if whole fucking world fight wars on our (indian subcontinent) back. Be it WW1, WW2 .. .

I think attrition reserves. A fourth squad of Mig29 was pending for a long time. Su30 seems to be to make up the numbers.

But lead time on fighter is almost three years (best case). So not expected to arrive soon unless Russia has ready stock somewhere.

If access to land beyond F-4 is stopped then same way they have no access to F-3 and F-2 now; which is their claim. Now the question remains technical on the significance of F-4.
