Majority of thee Rumors are just Rumors not Facts. Yes I agree with monitoring of Weibo but taking the things they say as facts is hard to do unless they have hard evidence or legit sources to prove or back up there claim or points. Reliable accounts are very hard to come by in Heavily censored social media platforms like Weibo. Even if we do find reliable sources majority would be suspended, removed or even arrested by the Chinese Authorities for speaking against the Communist Party's Main Narrative.
