The 20 divisions of the PLA wont all be mountain divisions... So, what prevents India from deploying more than 12 specialized mountain warfare divisions on the LAC ?.. The strike and pivot corps meant for Pakistan front can spare some..

Deployment on LAC is fine as there are about ten division there ... Those are for Defensive battles. What is being talked about is the offensive capability for which those divisions need to be taken out.

The two and a half front scenario envisages that If there is a war between India and Pakistan China may or may not participate, But in case of a war with China Pakistan's participation is guaranteed.
Hence the forces meant for Pakistan border are not available.

However we have about 700 CAPF battalions. Why can not we pull out 200 battalions in a national emergency and utilize them ?? They are not meant only to kill civilians nor are they government's Mamas.

Parrikar's passing was the worst thing to happen to the defense ministry and the country. Things moved at near lightning speed with him at the helm. With Rajnath, things are back to normal. So, he was getting pension but that was not equivalent to his rank.

But, was he mistreated? Yes as a Field Marshal he should have been getting full salary and other benefits equivalent to the rank he holds. (Field Marshal never retires)
And that anomaly was corrected and that's what was paid after President Kalam's intervention.
Let's not take help of a lie to propagate our views against some one or some agencies.

The question is not only related to Field Marshall Manekshaw but about the status any military man serving or retired command in our society and the country..

After independence. whereas the place of a soldier in the sate should have gone up. the contrary has happened primarily due to status hungry yesterdays slave politicians and more so the bureaucracy who have become kings under democracy and the way it functions under criminal alliances between them.
Their precedence, their positions, their pays and perks were downgraded where as others kept climbing in comparison.
Nothing much has changed in the system of Krishna Menon and Nehru abusing generals and That Dik shit calling the COAS gali ka Gunda. The naval Chiefe being haunted by the R&AW, or Rajiv Gandhi Threatening to kill Gen Sunderjee. Nothing much has changed culturally.

When the Field Marshall of the country died not even a single bureaucrat or

People on this message board need to see a few things.

1. Why is suddenly USA showing concern for Uighur Muslims? What changed?

This shows that USA-China break is deep this time. China cannot wriggle out of this issue by smart-talk and concessions. China will hold its grounds which will increase the friction.

USA is very concerned with nibbling away at Sunni world by China. China has already replaced much of traditional USSR influence in the Sunni world. This is a serious threat to USA.

2. If Uighurs are an issue, what about Tibetans?

Nobody talks about Tibetans yet but believe me, this trump card will be used too.

3. There will be an effort to rollback China from Tibet and Xinxiang (Sinkiang). Remains to be seem when this effort is launched militarily.

4. Anybody can see importance of India now.

5. If China is not rolled back, USA will suffer; as it cannot compete with China on economy. Then superpower USA is gone and trillions of spending on most powerful military will sink USA along with US dollar.

6. It is India that has resisted USA. USA has been wanting India firmly in its camp since 2007. It is India that can ensure USA's survival.
