So far the Chinese deployment this is nothing.
Chinese are capable of building 20 divisions in Tibet. It is well known and within reasonable capability of China.
India on the contrary is up with only 10 odd Divsions on LAC. If China has to attacke along LAC ten divisions is barely suffienet for defenses. There is no offensive capability.

However if 200 battalions of CAPF can take up defences and relive ten Army Divisions then India can launch a ten division offensive in Tibet.

One does not have to be a genius to understand it.

However we have some members here who think such an employment of CAPF is sacrilege and asking them to to be employed in defense of India is akin to sending them for "Jagrata."... They feel they should remain on Bhutan border to enjoy and smuggle cheap Apsu Rum...
What a waste....

The 20 divisions of the PLA wont all be mountain divisions... So, what prevents India from deploying more than 12 specialized mountain warfare divisions on the LAC ?.. The strike and pivot corps meant for Pakistan front can spare some..

From what I can see, the media in Canada is largely downplaying if not ignoring the reference to India and the Indian army. The protest against China as such is given some coverage. The Toronto Star positively is ignoring even the protest!
