It's not even about f-35 I don't care whether we get it or not buy I really feel like s-400 is such a foolish deal china already has it we already have MRSAM our own BMD and XR-SAM is going good too.

I just find s-400 pointless especially since china has it.

I think s400 is for defence of large cities. So it is relevant despite China having it.

i was reading a article some where and if i remember correctly the life cycle cost of F 35 program is pegged at 103 trillion Dollars....US is looking to get some pie of that 103 recovered.....

The advantage accrues more of the sensors and data integration resulting in unprecedented battle space situational awareness, overwhelming superiority in detection, targeting & achieving a firing solution before the adversary and a relative difficulty for the enemy in tracking and detecting you.
