on the eve of the anniversary of the surgical strikes, the desperation is clear. they want to plan a big attack before winter comes.
JeM is blessed by china which by china is kept ABOVE the pak army, but the window given to JeM seems to be closing fast on them.(Looking at the continuous statement coming from china which underlines Indian stance)
The moment JeM becomes useless for china to make a comprehensible statement on J&K, pak will lose it big time whole sale.

Indian Army changes tack, puts tanks at Akhnoor
Tuesday, September 26, 2017 By: Tribune India Source Link: CLICK HERE

India has reorganised an Army division to hold tanks and armoured vehicles in its arsenal and located it to tackle threats from across the Line of Control (LoC) in the lower parts of Jammu and Kashmir. The division is tasked with countering the threat in the Chammb-Jaurian sector, west of Akhnoor.

The area is of immense strategic importance. During the 1965 and 1971 wars, Pakistan had tried to run its armoured columns through these fertile plains located smack on the LoC in an attempt to cut off India’s access to Kashmir, resulting in pitched tank battles.

The existing 10th Infantry Division of the Indian Army based at Akhnoor has now been converted into “Rapids” or Reorganised Army Plains Infantry Divisions. It will hold two regiments of tanks (around 100) and another two regiments of mechanised armoured vehicles (100). The Army uses the Russian-built BMP as armoured vehicles.

This will be the first of the series under Army’s Northern Command. The first ones came up at locations under the Western Command in the late 1980s. Former Army Chief General K Sundarji (retd) is credited with the creation of “Rapids”.

Each of “Rapids” also consists of two infantry brigades, artillery elements, a reconnaissance and support battalion, an engineer regiment, a signals regiment and latest surveillance with target acquisition equipment.

On September 1, 1965, the Pakistan army had launched “Operation Grand Slam” to take control of the Akhnoor bridge in a bid to cut off the Nowshera-Rajouri-Poonch area from Jammu. In 1971, the tactic was repeated.

Will keep burying Terrorists two-and-a-half feet below ground, says Army Chief
Tuesday, September 26, 2017 By: News18 Source Link: CLICK HERE

Army Chief General Bipin Rawat said on Monday that surgical strikes on terror launch pads across the LoC could be repeated, if necessary, seeking to send a stern message to Pakistan.

He said cross-border infiltration will continue because camps across the Line of Control, from where terrorists are launched, are still operational, and warned that the Indian Army is ready to "receive" them and keep dispatching them to their graves.

"The strike was a message we wanted to communicate to them and they have understood what we mean...that things could follow up, if required," Rawat said.

He was speaking at the launch of a book India's Most Fearless authored by two defence journalists, Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh.

The book chronicles personal accounts of soldiers and their valour in extreme and hostile conditions, including of officers who participated in the surgical strikes.

Later, responding to a question by reporters on infiltration attempts, Rawat said, "Terrorists will keep coming because the (terror) camps are operational there (across the LoC). Even we are ready. We will keep receiving them (infiltrators) to dispatch them two-and-a-half feet below the ground."

The surgical strikes on terror launch pads across the LoC were conducted on the intervening night of September 28-29 last year, following a militant attack on an Army camp that killed 19 soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir.

The strikes were carried out by the Special Forces of the Army who had crossed the LoC. An unspecified number of terrorists waiting to sneak into India were killed in action by the Indian Army.

When asked what impact did the surgical strikes had, Rawat said, "(It sent a message that) We are a stronger nation capable of taking decisions when time comes."

Rawat's predecessor Gen (retd) Dalbir Singh, who was the Army chief when surgical strikes were carried out, echoed similar views on their impact.

"They had struck well as deterrence and have enhanced India's image abroad," Singh said.

When asked about what was the difficult part of the surgical strikes carried out in the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), Singh said the worrying part was "extricating" the soldiers without any casualty.

When asked about an operation conducted by the Army against NSCN (Khaplang), after they killed 20 soldiers in an assault in Manipur in 2015, Singh said he took up the matter with the Defence Minister for training the Special Forces for such operations and upgrading their equipment.

"When I visited the Northern (Army) command after that (strike), I told the command that we need to train our people, and if people are required to be pulled out from the Valley for training let's do that," Singh said.

We should give befitting reply. How dare these hijras attack our post. Our response with iron fist should deter them to do this act again in future.

They wont attack us in Akhnoor ; but we will attack them from three sides

We want to Straighten the Chicken Neck in Akhnoor

Since the Pakistanis call that area as Working Boundary
we can Straighten the Border

Then they will Cry

In my opinion these Pakistani generals really asking for a war now. They have been unrelenting in their offence and terror. Fidayeen Attack (Neutralized) War stores identified
PLUS Terroist Nazar returning from Pak into india (Neutralized at Border)
PLUS BAT Attack (Neutralized)
All this is happening while they got bashed up in the united nations and also while General Mattis is in India. These guys have become rabid dogs. I think War is coming and it is coming fast.

Kudos to our security forces for stalling these attacks all happening at about the same time. Can we Imagine if any or all or even one these attacks on India were successful how much pressure would have been bought upon our govt.
For the govt where getting economics in order and jobs creation is prime, a war could be brought upon us any time by a rabid dog who has nothing to lose.

It could be part of cold start. Armoured coloumn would be the last thing Paki will expect in J&K. It simply means Indian Army will try to capture land opposite to Akhnoor during war. Clear datapoint on cold start

They tried attacking a post, it wasn't a normal BAT team which usually targets BSF and army patrols. Seems like they wanted to try a mini surgical strike and retreated as soon as they were detected in advance.
By attacking a post, they wanted to do an = = of our surgical strikes. Thus extract revenge.

By infiltrating in Uri, and attacking an army camp, they wanted to show they could repeat their success.

Fools.

This video clip showing Arun Shourie revealing a trans-LC op by Indian Army 14 Kms during ABV's time. They went in 14 Kms deep, killed off many and brought back 7 bodies as proof. They also brought back the visitor diary from the Pak post which was recently signed by Musharraf himself.

I am guessing this was in response to Kaluchak massacre.
