Rhetorics aside, what stops russia from making kyiv “unsafe” via the BM route?

Making the capital look safe is admitting defeat. Putin knows this more than anyone else.
Destruction of capital was never a tough task for them park regiment of BM 30 Smerch and thing is done.
However, wiping off a capital hardened enemy resolve it humiliates them. Putin was banking on low resistance and poor coordination of AFU.
Btw what will he do with a razed Kiev, it started the Russian civilisation there.

  1. Lack of PGM in adequate quantity. Due to this either jets have to fly low or perform low accuracy high altitude strikes. Carpet bombing is not practical.
  2. PGM are expensive and Russia is dependent on semi-conductor imports
  3. Russia wants to preserve its PGM for NATO is conflicts escalates.
  4. Sweden and Finland issue is also cropping up. Indiscriminate bombing of Kyiv will further strengthen the resolve of Sweden and Finland.
  5. Russia lacks accurate and effective intelligence to conduct effective bombing campaign.
  6. If Russia starts indiscriminate bombing of Kyiv, Ukrainians will respond in kind. Russia wants war away from its home.
  7. If Russia looses its aircraft, which it will do in any binging campaign it will be detrimental to their moral.
  8. Russia has still not achieved air-dominance over Ukrainian airspace.
  9. Their is too much coupling and shared ties between Russian and Ukrainian population.
  10. Unless Russians are fully commented to the air-campaign they should not start one as a half-baked air-campaign will be counter-productive to their strategic goals.
  11. Kiyv is far away from Russia hinterland. Most sorties have to come from Belarus and Belarus is not the most reliable partner.
  12. With NATO providing air-space surveillance using their AWACS, most Russian aircraft will be tracked.

Biden plans Japan visit to coordinate Indo-Pacific, but ‘India’s reluctance to sway on Ukraine weakens QUAD’
These hyp*crites won’t ever stop buying Russian Oil or pressurize China but will always talk about muh India.

What even is Quad anyway? Just USA, 2 of its vassal states, and India.

China laughs at QUAD tbh.

Ya'll Nibbiars The Backfires are active now. There are reports of Russian airforce deploying strategic bomber to hit Azovstal industrial zone with unguided FABs. First time bombers entered Ukrainian airforce so far Tu-95 & Tu-160 were launching cruise missiles. Tu 22M3 dropping FAB 3000.

Someone compared India with Ukraine. It is idiotic. Ukraine is a bitch state of US where every leader is sold out and Zelensky himself is a US citizen. Ukraine has no self respect and is making its citizens cannon fodder for other nations interest. Cowards are now enrolling 12 year olds. Nazis repeating what their idol Hitler did.

What kind of leader makes jokes when the plight of its citizens is so unbearable.

All technical details provided might be true. But still if the clown is able to project the capital as a “safe zone” its humiliating for putin. All it requires to say otherwise is to launch some rubbish missile into some part of kyiv. Need not even be accurate. Creates fear factor and prevents western feks from coming for evening walks.
Heck even Saddam launched scuds into Israel to scare them.

Wait, more to come.
The clown could have been killed since Day 1 with PGM, but war is not made with emotions.
STAVKA has the plans and with limited infantry they did lots of damage to Ukraine.
Plan is to inflict as much casualty on Russia, so that it gives up and goes back. Let's see who blink first.

LOL.. with most anti-Russian families separated, broken, women in Poland and other parts of Europe, begging, being pushed into prostitution, kids separated, fathers either dead, crippled or fighting against Russian invaders, I find it hard for the Ukrainian tools to justify prolonging this war any more.

Zelenskyy lost nothing. His money is safe in some bank. He is well protected in a bunker. He has cleverly scripted the destruction of Azovs who treated him with absolute disdain.

There are no winners in this war except for Russia which will eventually achieve its military and strategic objectives.

Ukraine is fubar all in their desperation to become a US-NATO poodle.

Once Russia shifts gears, the calendar in Ukraine will end up rewinded by 100 years or more.

Ukraine is winning... yeah sure.. with 18 new artillery pieces and half a dozen helicopters. With Russia deciding to push the envelope, most of those equipment will be intercepted close to the Western border before it makes its way to the East.

The West continues to send war fighting equipment the equivalent of billions of dollars while Ukrainian women warm beds of strangers far away from what was once home.

This war has proved that Putin is an egomania and megalomania incompetent fool who didn't think this invasion through or didn't do any proper analysis. No one can predict how such dictators may react but at the end of day he also wants to save his seat/power.
This war proved the sheer impenitence of Russian war machinery to fail to achieve its strategic targets
Not bombing Kyiv is more of an political decision than military one. At the end of day Putin also needs to save his face and justify his actions.
At this stage bombing Kyiv will not get desired results or help achieve strategic goals but will be counter-productive.
Time to bomb Kyiv is long gone. In short the ship has sailed. If it was to be done, it should have be done within 48-96 hours of invasion but again the Russian convoy got bogged.
Russians have still not accepted this is an invasion.
Don't forget what happened to Saddam in the end.

This is why absolute power should not rest with a single man. These trigger happy people could generate a global conflict and even if they die,the entire generation after that has to pay the price.
The Germans still carry the shame of their Nazi past to this day. I believe the Russians will be in similar situation sooner or later.
