Such bulk launch systems do not carry flame deflectors. It's not just us. It's just unnecessary. The launch tubes have a sort of opening at the back to let out the jet blast.
what about flame deflectors
present here in Prithvi missile.

looks like they just cover the space with metal sheet and have added metal cover at the top.

United State is not a Trusted partner ,Only a while back it blocked the sale of Arrow Missile to us and now they are mending their way and Even proposing a joint BMD just because it is finding itself losing grip in Asia and want's India to be on par with China. In short US will look at its strategic Interest and can leave India and go against us if it comes to it.So there is no question on Accepting such offer which can even hurt Indo-Russian relations. If USA is offering its missile defence it is not out of the blue or suddenly they think that we are natural partner, i think some people should appreciate that and that too at show string budget for project and on sarkari salary.
Thats not the point, but if you compare the advances we have made in 60 years of independence its more than the Americans or Russianstrue we also got independence little after WW-2. Look where USA and Russia defence reached and where we are.
No way china will fall neither was Russia...........
May be in economy but not in defence. After 65 yrs we still rely on 96% foreign mallThats not the point, but if you compare the advances we have made in 60 years of independence its more than the Americans or Russians

India's military Industry went from building muskets and rifles to creating modern machines like the Arjun, Meerut, LCA.... no other country in the world has made such drastic progress in their domestic military industrial complex in such short timeMay be in economy but not in defence. Dude, you need to understand that both the US and Soviet missile and rocket technology was a result of captured German technology of the V2 rockets from WWII. Look at their success and failure rate when they started to develop the platforms after that. Moreover, military technology, particularly missile technology is an extremely well-kept secret in all countries of the world and so news of failures tend to be played down. Even so, the US and the Soviets have had their own flops. The Indian missile technology was essentially a self-developed platform courtesy our ex-president Dr. Kalam. So, a few mishaps are bound to occur. Moreover, compare the defense budgets of the US, China and Russia compared to our own and you'll see that our scientists at the DRDO have to do with a fraction of what the others spend.true we also got independence little after WW-2. Look where USA and Russia defence reached and where we are.
You are kidding right? USA and USSR had near unlimited budget for developing weapons technology after the second world war. Not to mention a highly educated population,to create a pool of trained manpower. If you must know in 1947, at the time of independence, India's literacy was 11%. How can you create high technology products from such terrible pool of population? You believe creating technology is easy? Most of Indian companies cannot even make a decent internal combustion engine ,let alone complex weapon system like these. What DRDO helped create is an entire generation of trained manpower that no private company in India can even dream of.true we also got independence little after WW-2.
