The armed forces should be allowed to select the same product that they want from 2-3 vendors and then the GOI should negotiate with the vendors and get the best deal. Yes definately put in restrictions on what products can be imported from outside and what are reserved for domestic companies. When it comes to domestic companies single vendor purchases should be allowed for niche technologies.
