If true, then private satellites used by OSINTwallahs should easily be able to confirm, since they'd have to park those 40 aircraft on the south rwy. There isn't enough apron, hangar, or even shelter for those many aircraft at Skardu.

Picture below was taken in late-March 2020, showing third rwy (parallel to north rwy) under construction. I somewhat doubt it's operational by now.

The real reason behind this conflict is Chinese mining of precious metals in Chinese occupied territories. This may also be the reason for diverting/damming Galwan river. If you want to beat Chinese Communist party thugs, destroy their new buildings in Galwan Valley and elsewhere, their heavy earth moving equipment and Chinese bridges to the area as that may also interrupt their mining plans and hit their pocketbooks. Also hit their older mines in other occupied territories.
