and now only thing indian security establishment needs to do now is not giving away any concessions during the ongoing negotiations.

construction is happening inside LAC on Indian territory.

as long as construction continues and projects are completed, it is a win for India.
dragging China into a long drawn out conflict maybe a goal??

Regarding both Tibet & Xinjiang India has to make a decision sooner rather than later because China has already declared that it will nominate next Dalai lama who will obviously toe the line & agree with Tibet being a part of China. Our policy needs to change quickly we have to adopt offensive strategies rather than being defensive all the time.
Doesn't matter whoever chinks place as next dalai lama. Tibet population is hostile and Pro India. Only Military conflict can liberate Tibet and if any takes place the hostile population will welcome Indian troops!
IBG's are being raised for exclusive offensive military operations for china and PoK.
We have to build up narrative, covertly appraise Tibetans against Chinese , similarly they do to us in kashmir by using Pak.

Unprofessional’ Chinese Army used sticks, clubs with barbed wires and stones in face-off near Pangong Tso

Published May 26, 2020 | By admin SOURCE: ANI Even though the Chinese Army claims itself to be a professional force, its soldiers in a recent stand-off with the Indian forces in the Pangosg Tso lake area in Eastern Ladakh sector used sticks, clubs with barbed wires and stones to target Indian security forces’ soldiers there. “The behaviour of the Chinese has been like the Pakistan-backed stone-pelters who use stones and sticks to target Indian security forces in the Kashmir valley. The Chinese troops came armed with sticks, clubs with barbed wires and stones in an area near the Pangong Tso lake during a face-off with Indian troops there,” sources told ANI here. The sources said that during the face-off, the Chinese troops had numerical advantage but behaved like an “unprofessional Army” while showing undue aggression there towards the Indian troops there.Despite the fact that both the Indian and Chinese troops are equipped with assault rifles all along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh, bullets have not been fired in the Ladakh region since 1967 to maintain peace and tranquillity in the region. Sources said during the recent face-off, the Chinese troops behaved like “typical bullies” as they surrounded the Indian troops from all sides with the ratio being heavily in their favour and arrived in the particular area like “locust swarms” using the better infrastructure on their side of the boundary. “Contrary to the Chinese behaviour, the Indian side never uses such tactics to push back the Chinese from the areas under us except for the minor shoving and pushing incidents that keep taking place almost round the year,” they said. The Chinese have come to the LAC with more than 5,000 troops in the current stand-off which started around May 5-6 earlier this month and has been there all along up to Sikkim. The Chinese side used the garb of an exercise to amass troops on their side of the LAC and then quickly diverted them towards the Indian side. The Indian side has matched the troop levels of the Chinese side and is not allowing them to carry out any movement in multiple areas. The Indian forces used their heavy-lift transport aircraft to transport troops from other high altitude areas to position troops in the Eastern Ladakh sector. The stand-off is likely to continue as the continuous efforts on the ground are not yielding much.

whole sale Traders if want can ban import from china.. Indian govt dnt have to make its hand dirty..
I see then what will happen to country's mega projects which become affordable due to Chinese cheap mal....

If China were not there no mobile phone in India be less than Rs 40000. There would be no telecom revolution in India. Half of your Pharmaceutical factories would shut the shop. One tablet of IBrifin would cost Rs 20....

The field would be free for White vultures to loot scoot and disappear ... like those famous power companies....

****** Men dam Nahin Ham kissi see kam nahin attitude can not uplift the poor in India... India by itself would have spend a few billion more on Swachh Bharat but for Chinese mal....

Realities are different friends... Indian Industrialists are the biggest pampered and protected and corrupt Bees.... Look what they have done to our Banking Industry...

Are you trying to hoodwink me.. as the bureaucrats always do.
Is being a joint secretary and Chief secretary the same ...

What matters is the number of high grade appointments tenable by a cadre as compared to Cadre strength. Say

Say earlier the cadre strength of IAS for J&K was 100. Out of those hundred Super Scale posts were four which on Division rises to 12. Now you say nothing has happened? Career progression has increased threefold unless you are suggesting that a Director level officer will be Chief secretary of the new state. or a secretary MoD will be offset to cater for the new state.

So who has benefitted the most by the creation of a new UT or state? Thre is a new CM, New home Deptt, New Fiance depth, .... all will have Addl Secy level secy, there will be thus jump in higher posts...

That is how every IAS retires minimum as Secretary and every IPS retires minimum as a DG. They all have created inverted pyramids for themselves...
Salary difference between a regular secretary and a chief secretary is miniscule in overall state expenditure.

Your complaints will be valid if posts keep multiplying within a single state and bureaucracy keeps reaching into more and more fields.

But in context of states division extra expenditure on few new posts and higher salary is far negligible compared to overall benefit of state creation.

32crore people in USA are governed by 50 states. While 1360 crore people in India are governed by just 28 states and 9 UTs.( This after laddakh separation).

For This threads context laddakh separation was necessary for national security and minimizing Kashmir area and implications. Some more revenve expenditure is irrelevant in this case.

But even otherwise India needs far more states and far more district units to be Better governed.

UP has more population now then Brazil. MP is as big as Germany in both geography and population.

We are running huge countries as giant states. This is opposite of democracy as local people are neglected. MP capital Bhopal is 500km away from remote districts of MP . It takes over a day for them to even reach capital. It is lucky for a district to be able to see chief minister once in few years as there are 54 districts.

Compare that to Goa or uttarakhand where chief minister most probably lives within 100-150km from you and you might directly know a lot of ministers or through family and friends because they are selected form area very near you.

This makes day to day life governance far better and far more accountable.

This is not germane to this thread but I firmly believe no state should have more than 20 districts so that each district has a minister in state cabinet and no state capital should be more than 200km away from it's borders. So that citizens can reach it within few hours.

Eh Samsung is selling pretty good phones at comparable prices to chinkies and Samsung most supplies are now out of china.

Sure for same price Samsung offers few less feature . But no one would die if we have to live with 20 mp camera instead of 64.

What is the role of about 80 battalions of ITBP in those IBGs? Are we also going to insert tiptop yati looking ITBP Commandos in Lhasa along with three - four IPS Commandos of SINGHAM types... after all that was their original role I suppose... the expenditure on them so far has to be justified..

These Chinese maal prevented the taking off Indian industry in the first place. If Solar Panel production had taken place in India it would have been costly at first but after a point of time we would have competed with Chinese worldwide. But Chinese never allowed us to compete and dumped their goods. When any new material production takes place cost will be higher. It has to be bought down by more production. If we had ordered 270su in one go, it would have been lot cheaper than ordering in 4-5 piecemeal orders which IaF did.

India had Nokia, Motorola Mobile plants and an ecosystem before. Even Wipro, HCL and Dell manufactured computers in India. When the computer market was just going up, both those mobile brands went bust, laptop markets exploded. It's not like we didn't anything in India before. Needs some hand-holding for sometime. WTO rules were thrown to the wolves by the Chinese, but Indian state followed diligently. Took us nowhere.

Blame Indian idiotic companies like Micromax, lava, Intex for Chinese dominating mobiles in India. They bought Chinese designs and sold in India shamelessly. Once the OEMs came over, it became so easy for them thanks to these money ingrates.
On pharmaceutical side we manufactured API, and the tablet didn't get sold at 20rs. When each paisa makes an difference to these generic drug makers, they shifted to Chinese. If the public is ready to face an increase of 2 -3 INR per strip for sometime the cost can come low for domestic manufacturing. In the name.of globalisation India has managed to lose every advantage in manufacturing.

Wouldn't we need the same 10:1 force superiority to push into Tibet?
It's different from our side we need to cutoff pla supply lines . Tibetians can handle the rest.
Besides we only have to capture Lhasa there is not much population anywhere else. Indian tibetian with native tibetians can be armed to deal with whatever china manages to rush in.

On contrast to defeat us china will have to capture full arunachal Assam , Himachal and uttarakhand. As we will keep flooding our border from neighbouring states . China can't do the same in tibet once its very long supplie lines are destroyed.

Chinese soldier needs months of training to be able to acclimate in tibet . If china sends new troops without training they will just die because of harsh tibetian climate.

Any defense expert/professional has the idea of Pangong Tso lake fingers? Which ridges are called what fingers? I can only gather scanty and conflicting information from news sources.

I am only able to determine finger 4 (or that is incorrect too? )
