Because this time the tip of the Indian spear against China is all American/NATO, and Moscow can't flick any killswitches. Be it M-777, AH-64, Chinooks, C-17, M2000I, or even the P8I patrolling IOR.

Once Delhi gets a taste of the US/NATO/Israeli hardware in battle, Ruskies are out of business.
You should read on Indian reactions / reviews on GE F-404 on Tejas ,It is going to be very hard for IAF to go back to Russian engines now

I really have nothing to say to those Indians who doubt what we are doing along LAC now. No, there will be no "proof" given of what IA & our fine men & women from uniformed services are doing as we give a far greater response to a Chinese transgression.
I would happy if indian army have done salami slicing on Chinese side of LAC.

first video on YouTube seems to have come from Kargil based local news channel “STV Ladakh”.

I haven’t spent time on their type of reporting, which might give a clue on their motivations.

even baba released the video slightly after that YouTube channel released the video, last i checked their release didn’t garner as many views as other YouTube channels showing the same video.
STV Ladakh Video is hallmarked. but the videos on the forum are not hallmarked...

Dhanoa said that F404-GE-IN20 engines have excellent fuel efficiency which he has rarely seen among contemporary fighter jets he has flown. Dhanoa who is a Mig-21 Veteran compared MiG-21bis’s R-25 engine with F404-GE-IN20 and said that fuel efficiency you had from F404 at 8000 feet altitude you only get that around 30000 feet altitude when flying a MiG-21.

Mig-21 and LCA-Tejas fighter jets both designed as a point defense Interceptor aircraft are small and nimble in characters due to which they have smaller internal fuel carrying capability. Mig-21 Pilots in Combat Air Patrol (CAP) missions usually took off at high speeds and gain altitudes quickly to intercept incoming threats and also that he can have enough fuel to carry out Intercept and return to the base well under 1 hour of combat range of the aircraft.

F404-GE-IN20 engines have performed better than expected in numerous times and even surprised designers of the LCA-Tejas who had factored in lower ferry and combat range. People who have flown LCA-Tejas Mk1 fighter jets coming from Mig-21 and Mirage-2000 flying background in past have called it better than M53-5 P2 turbofan engine which powers Mirage-2000 in terms of operational performance and fuel efficacy.

In numerous sorties in far fledged areas of India, while the aircraft was in trials, LCA-Tejas Mk1 was not only able to demonstrate better ferry range then what engineers had expected but also demonstrated that it can safely operate under different weather conditions. LCA due to better Thrust to Weight Ratio ( 1.07 vs Migs 0.7) has a better climb rate, less drag and requires less take off-speed and landing distance. LCA has a balanced performance in all speed regimes due to which it has better fuel efficiency then Mig-21 flying at lower altitudes. GE engineers and HAL/ADA engineers have worked in tandem to get optimum performance from the engine at various speed regimes and altitudes and LCA-Tejas jet has surprised them with better performance than expected.

HAL official close to idrw.org has confirmed that American supplied GE-404 engines have maintained their niggle free operations when maintained as per OEM and even squadron level technicians are of high praise of service schedule of the engine and ease of maintenance and how spares ordered reach on time. since for many technicians, this is for the first time they are working and servicing an American made engine and there are all high praise for it.

Coming back to Pilots, GE-404 engines powering Tejas Mk1 have displayed a high level of safety standards and most impressive has been its ferry range which is more than or at par with larger jets. Ex-Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa had said that F404-GE-IN20 engines have excellent fuel efficiency which he has rarely seen among contemporary fighter jets he has flown. Dhanoa who is a Mig-21 Veteran compared MiG-21bis’s R-25 engine with F404-GE-IN20 and said that fuel efficiency you had from F404 at 8000 feet altitude you only get that around 30000 feet altitude when flying a MiG-21.

The same has been said that the ferry range of the Tejas Mk1 is similar to that of the Jaguar Strike aircraft which is surprising due to Mk1 being a smaller jet that has displayed the same level of ferry range as that of larger twin-engine Jaguar Strike aircraft. At Gagan Shakti 2018, 8 Tejas Mk1 performed remarkably well and emerged with the best range scores in terms of best weapon delivery by any aircraft and 8 aircrafts also had higher sortie and availability rate than other participating aircraft.

For former Mig-21Bis pilots coming in as Squadron pilots of LCA-Tejas Mk1 is like graduating from Premier Padmini to a Mercedes. the feeling is mutual and they are simply awed at easy of the level of flying and of the responsive engine having their back all the time. For Su-30 Pilots, it’s like graduating from a Hummer to a peppy little sports car which is equally fun. Post-retirement of the Mig-27s from the IAF fleet, the next batch of pilots will be from Mig-27 flying background and they will likely be floored and impressed by the Air to Ground performance of the Mk1.

Regarding photo release by Chinese, there are few Chinese account reporting this is an old photo. In this instance few jawans fell in panong tso lake and later rescued by Chinese army. In pic, jawan 1 and jawan 2 got leg fractured therefore their legs were tied with stretcher for support. Even IA thanked them later.

This photo does not seem Photoshop but neither related to present situation. Chinese cannot release video related to this photo.
I can affirm that this photo being circulated is an old photo. If your require source, I can give you from a Chinese military enthusiast on Weibo.

Video release took place by our non-thinking hypernationalists who think they are doing great service to the nation. Plenty of them around.
No, actually it was likes of shukla, swine, panag, ndtv, print etc which were giving air to conspiracies like Indian soldiers thrown into river, Indian officer detained, Chinese captured xyz with 10000 soldiers camping etc etc,
This sows doubt in general public's mind and demotivates nation, so whoever released that must have actually thought very well and rather than hypernationalist he was just being a nationalist, you should see the cheer in general day to day public, even the fake avalanche picture chinese shared didn't affect them because they know we are giving back too, that matters a lot.

Old timers has a hard time grasping power of propaganda and how it can make or break the morale of nation.

Highlighting only failures and hiding success is a very stupid way, which many of us argued against for years w.r.t Pakistan especially BAT actions, 27th feb was a good case study how a f-16 and a pilot martyred can be shamelessly hidden and turned into victory and restore the nations morale.

Either find a way to put leash on shuklas, panags, swines, ndtv, print etc or let a little other side of coin too come into public's eye.

Simple thing is make media/personalities responsible for things they say or air.

Btw I knew you were falcon, apart from your way of writing, some of your tweets matched what you posted here, only difference is you sometime post positive in other forum but here you are always selling dooms day.
Also young people are hyper and jingoistic, it isn't really a bad thing, you must be a little hyper and jingoistic in your days too
What matters is the professionals handling the conflict aren't hyper and jingoistic.

An Army like India is like an elephant.

The best way to kill it is by acting swiftly and instantly by a 1000 cuts.

But to give it time to stand up and charge...is a very wrong move.

You dont kill an elephant like that.

I have always felt the Chinese like to just intimidate. If they really wanted to attack they wont have waited so long.

During his visit to China in May 2015, PM Narendra Modi’s proposal to clarify the LAC was rejected by the Chinese. Deputy Director General of the Asian Affairs at the Foreign Ministry, Huang Xilian later told Indian journalists that “We tried to clarify some years ago but it encountered some difficulties, which led to even complex situation. That is why whatever we do we should make it more conducive to peace and tranquillity for making things easier and not to make them complicated.”

did Xina think after releasing china virus across the world they can talk the terms putting nations under pressure?
well!! them got it wrong!
