Interesting, few points to note -

• Their jets are maintaining a distance, where our jets are flying right above Pangong Tso lake, even ingressing inside the perceived LAC (through finger 4). This can be to avoid direct confrontation with IAF, I won't jump up and down claiming they are afraid of us.

You are absolutely right. The length of the runways is planned accordingly.

In the area where we are talking of, the difference between flying conditions on Indian and Chinese sides is the relatively flat topography on Tibetan Plateau as opposed to towering mountains on Indian side which constrains the 'space' for aircraft to be able to rapidly ascend given the rarified atmosphere.

Due to rarification of atmosphere, you will achieve your take off velocity at a higher actual speed than what you would need at ground level.

Chinese almost reached their claim line in 1962. That's why lac is too close to Chinese claim line. It's a historical problem.

But I think we have ingressed into chinese side of lac too otherwise what is Chinese crying for?.

What is this claim line of 1962 unless you mean it is up to Tejpur and Gowhati?

BVR is today a relative advantage, not an absolute one.

PLAAF has greater number of platforms that it can put up in the air and cycle through. That will compensate for the long distances it will have to cover. Rest, will be a fair mix of the man and machine matched to skill and luck of the day.

The crucial difference will be in our ability to neutralize the artillery/rocket regiments of PLA that can potentially deny us concentration areas for own forces. We will have to rely on disruption of these elements that shall be in depth area and may need to be eliminated using air power, denying opportunity for which shall be PLAAF's main thrust of air war in the theater.

While the increased runway length would mitigate the extent of the problem of decreased weapons load. It would still not completely compensate.. as rarified atmosphere also decreases the engine thrust, and an overloaded plane might have safety issues when landing in tibet..

That is a very valid point.

But not for Tibet. An aircraft which achieves it's T/O speed may gain altitude slowly due to rarified conditions. In that case, presence of the airfield in a valley with towering mountains may be an issue.

Then, for who shall it be more of an issue? Tibet is a plateau.

Also, overloaded plane? They dump fuel to reduce weight.

Once completed India can move heavy armours/ troops to Galwan valley with ease and speed as geography is favourable on our side and PLA have narrow valley to negate as seen in latest video stand off. As seen below ITBP has camps beyond shyok river and small posts across Galwan river same PLA has posts in Galwan valley towards their side of claimed LAC.

Now India built a bridge across Galwan river and Indian troops with large vehicles can move up swiftly towards Galwan valley and Chinese are at disadvantage due to geography and narrow valley hence they felt threatend and started claiming whole Galwan valley till Shyok river to stop the bridge being constructed which changes the status Quo...

To negate this disadvantage PLA started patroling beyond finger 5 where they are at advantage with armoured vehicles boats and infra. They have constructed new base near finger 5. Also their highway passes close to this region if India advances till finger 8 claimed line then they will be feared for cutting access to Xinjiang. As of now India has altered status Quo in our favour in Galwan valley and china in Pangyong lake.... DBO - Galwan strategic road and rapid infra built up has sent fears to CCP.

EW will always hamper all ops. You have to work around the ECMs with either robust ECCMs or eliminating the EMP threat.

So both the videos and pictures i believe are released by the chinese . How did chinese got hands on our video well i don't have any clue .

I think the order to release video to humiliate China came from the top.. May be India decided China had crossed a line.. and costs had to be imposed on Xi Jinping.. and the carefully constructed tough guy image of PLA.. Because, PLA emphasizes "winning without fighting from Sun tsu".. If that has to work, then the enemy has to think that all PLA soldiers are like the hero from Wolf warrior movie.. You crush that image , and you diminish China's military effectiveness.. because, even a superpower will weaken and collapse, if it has to go to war, every time it has to coerce an enemy.. The reign of a major power depends as much on the enemies willingness to be bullied, as it does on the major powers capabilities, as winning without war, conserves the great power's resources.
