Then abandon it ?
We don't quite hold it in the first place. But settling the border where we can hold it at all times is definitely an option.

But, we can also look at mechanizing inhospitable borders as much as we can. Sounds fantastic now, but in 20 years? 50? We might have have autonomous, or remote controlled robot guards, drone patrols, etc etc.

The other option is to have a non-belligerent neighbour in those areas, like Tibet. If China is our neighbour, we'll have to remain ever hypervigillant.

Bhutan have reached India to counter Chinese aggression.
If chinese do anything on that front IA is going to be deployed their.
It is India’s duty of care now to stop this midget bully everywhere.

IOR, LAC, South Vietnam sea, Bhutan and Nepal. Now we must put our elbow deep in where ever they try to dig a pit.

They must be now harassed in IOR regularly.

India has to become a branded nuisance on every stage. If Modi can not do it he must be thrown out.

We had patrolled it in pre 1959 but totally lost in 1962 , 1400 lost their lives in 1962 and just leave it ? Sorry but I have to say no. If we lose it then we lose it forever. And that is just expecting their supremacy even vietnam is not ready to compromise with china so why should we ? Barren or not barren abounding is not an option.

They also vacate it in winter. This winter as well, the area will become hell after November.

Sure, we or the Chinese can try to tough it out like Siachen but the area is too big to man like Siachen.

USN has them by their balls in SCS. 11's original plan was limited war with India to distract international attention, and make a move on Taiwan. CIA decoded this in time, and has half the US Navy fleet in SCS (over 400 warplanes and 50+ warships). India mobilized 250,000+ troops faster than 11 anticipated, and hasn't stopped its 2-front preparation. He has no choice but to disengage with India to turn his attention to SCS.

India isn't leaving anything to chance, and has mobilized in all theaters, including Tawang. Xi will neither get the trophy nor a consolation prize.
But Ji-Pig got bloody love from Bihar Regiment...

Bat eaters were busy in Sunzu War-Fart while our boys played the Bloodbath.

I will be so disappointed if India did not put spanners into all Chinese interests.
All their cargo freight should be inspected or tailed but must be irritated.
All their imports should be delayed or payments delayed.

Their apps should never be allowed nor should any of their businesses get any opportunity in India

India's area : 3.2 million sq km
GDP: approx 2.9 trillion USD

Tibet's area : 2.1 million sq km
GDP : approx 23 billion dollar ( Yes not even 50% gdp of Bihar )

So , they never had to care for Tibet because we never went even 20 km closer to Aksai Chin because of political fear.

Patrolled it in Summer, vacated it in winter.

My point was- either we have to attain the tech advancement to have mechanised unmanned border in winter, or free Tibet and install a friendly govt so we can vacate those areas in winter without the worry of getting Kargilled.

Till then, holding that area in winter is going to a problem with a humiliated, belligerent China looking for payback. The problem isn't toughness of our brothers, but logistical and financial. Siachen is expensive, now multiply that few thousand times.

Yeah, there's the worry of how exactly Tibet will sustain itself after getting freedom with the current population trends and the nasty neighbors it will inherit. It isn't a tiny country like Bhutan.

Will need a lot of hand holding from us and others.

Now is the time to liberate POK I think. :confused1:

To take back what is India’s: This may be doable, but won't be easy

I think we should try to do a reverse 1962 on Pakistan. A sudden attack on GB this winter outta nowhere after all mountain passes are closed along LAC. During US elections may be the perfect window.

The time for cordial etiquettes is over. We tolerated their active support for 26/11 terror attack Pakistani terrorists at UN.

There is no room left for Modi and his methods of playing statesman.

He threw Pakistan out of his agenda, now it is China that must be treated with indifference.

Late thoughts...
Tie down India on Land border so that India is unable to spend much for seas.... and what have we done.... Not been able to stablaise out land borders even after 74 years...
Serious offensive capability across ... ?? They have managed to tie down Indian Forces with Pakistan and we have Chinese fifth columnist even today haprping aginst MSC which remains stunted...

and Finally, The light tanks Vs BMP.... the defense establishment which deliberately stall and denies basic MPATGM to its forces for last sixty years has no rights to talk about Light Tanks...

Damn fellows... kill the light tanks by Meduim tanks .. one does not have to be a genius to tell you that.... T-72 and T-90 are light enough for Ladakh. One must know that BMP is not a primarily an ATK platform.. it is an infantry fighting Vehicle.. Any tank that enters Galwan valley can do so after performing its last rites for sure.

It would be good that Mr Jha does not fall for such gimmicks...

I have a question.

Let us say one day we indeed capture Aksai. How are we going to defend the borders we currently show on map? The LAC currently held is pretty inhospitable, so how are we going to hold multiple Siachin like borders?

Ergo; is holding Aksai feasible? It's going to be massive haemorrhage of manpower and finances to hold it in perpetual fear of being Kargilled?
By liberating Tibet :)
