Defence budget of Israel is 5.3% of their GDP which is just 20.5 billion dollars on the other hand India has a defence budget of 71 billion dollars which is just a little above 2% of our overall GDP then how can Israel afford to have F35 and India cannot?

If we indians started spending 5.3% of our GDP on defence like Israel then our defence budget would be atleast 170 billion dollars when GDP is 3.2 trillion dollars

then how is Israel maintaining a fleet of F35 ?

The countries in the area probably do not have the technology to detect it with enough accuracy to shoot it down. And Israel has enough conventional fighters to back it up when needed.
And Israelis are the best in the World at improving aircraft, they have been improving both Eastern and Western fighter jets for decades, MiGs and Fs. By aquiring the F-35 they plan to resolve all the problems the F-35 has and everything that might make it a ‘no good’ aircraft & most importantly they have the infra to support it.
Moreover what makes u think America will offer top of the shelf stealth tech to India a non Nato country at a reasonable price. Stop living in delusional world. Don't quote american Senators nobody gives a damn what they say apparently it is all upto Pentagon.

Close to 4 billion dollars a year. You have to remember they have much smaller standing army than India. So the amount they spend gets them gets them a lot of shiny equipment.
