we have our full navy here. and we have also spotted those before. we have P8I, ASW heli, Kamorta class etc to neutralize those.

US has also started hunting (or finding) those.

so should those be a very big problem? (I'm not sure).
We have critical shortages in ASW. Lot of Surface vessels are sharing ASWH due to lack of numbers.

If they can't even reach Indian ocean submerged ( no ssk can only ssn) what's the point of dijbouti .??
Lombok Strait (in war time )

View: It’s time to give military angle to Quad

One of the consequences of the Chinese army’s moves this summer in eastern Ladakh, where it has attempted a major change in the status quo, is that India will strengthen its partnerships with the democracies of the world, particularly the US. Strategically, China has nudged India closer to the US.

To display its support to India as well as Southeast Asia, Washington has announced a change in its force posture by drawing down troops in Germany and moving the
Indo-Pacific theatre. This is an important signal that the US will not sit and watch as China attempts to throw its weight around on the Sino-India border as well as in the South China Sea. Even earlier, the US had moved three of its carrier battle groups to this part of the world as a clear indication of its resolve to tackle Chinese aggressiveness in Asia.

While this is an important indicator of support to India by the US, we should also understand that we will have to fight our
battle with China alone. Our soldiers have given an excellent account of themselves in the hand-to-hand combat which ensued on the night of June 15 at the Galwan River Valley. The clear message they conveyed to China is that India will not take Chinese aggressiveness and bullying lying down. India, for one, does not accept Chinese hegemony in Asia.

We can quibble over the number of casualties suffered by the People’s Liberation Army in Galwan, but there is no doubt that China’s nose has
been bloodied. The PLA has suffered its first battlefield casualties in decades.

Now, it is very important to reiterate and reinforce that message sent by our troops, by undertaking a fundamental reassessment and recalibration of our China policy. It cannot be business as usual. This reassessment should be done with a whole of society approach so that a consensus can be built on it. Not only should the opposition political parties be consulted, but other experts in the military, diplomatic and business fields should also be asked to give their ideas, suggestions and views.

However, it cannot be an interminable process with no finite deadline. The situation demands that it be just a few months long and the new policy be implemented before 2020 is out.

One suggestion that merits very serious attention is to not permit Chinese firms to participate in India’s 5G trials and rollout. This will hurt China in the pocket given the enormous market India represents. Many people argue that such economic pushback will hurt India too. That is true, but there can be no
gain without pain.

Indians will have to accept a certain degree of pain. If our soldiers can take the pain on the border, surely ordinary Indians can also take the pain of lower revenues, profits or higher prices in order to send a clear-cut signal to China. Geopolitically, India must strengthen its partnerships with the US, Japan, South Korea, Australia and perhaps Indonesia without laying too much stress on strategic autonomy.

This is the time to admit Australia into our Malabar naval exercises. This is the appropriate time to strengthen the Quad and provide it amilitary angle. Now is the time to enhance our intelligence sharing with all these nations. By changing its force structure and posture, the US is signalling India that she supports us entirely. We do not have to worry about what signal this sends to China. Why? China has sent its own signal by throwing down the gauntlet at India with its moves in eastern
Ladakh.

That's why they broke it into two clauses with a semicolon. Though not putting an Oxford comma after Pakistan is making my brain twitch in annoyance.

Nepal has launched it's biggest missile. We are doomed.
usually, people like him are heros only on camera but really are jobless tattus in real life.. his profile clearly says that he is comedian so why should we take him seriously. he think he will grow a small carrot between his legs by doing gali galoch and abusing india on FB. he think that it will make him into a big boy. he is clearly doing this nonsense to gain few subscribers, few likes and views and trying to become popular at the expense of spreading unjustified hatred between communities, spewing venom and seeds of enmity against 2 nations. this hatred will continue to spread to the new generation and they will fight to death one day. i don't blame him, i blame oli for starting this.. but atleast assholes like him should have common sense and think over this. he should have thought about the consequences of his actions by doing such hatred video. he clearly do not know that nepal has already become gulam of china.

Pakistani airbases in PoK under India’s radar after China’s air activity increases along LAC
in that articles, the below line is what bothers me..

"Skardu airbase was upgraded last year by Pakistan and in it was used by Pakistani JF 17s on their way to the PLAAF base at Hotan for a joint exercise."

you extend the runway, only when you clearly want to take off and land heavy planes (like tankers). if runway was extended last year, then the planning would have started way even before that.. the chineses and porkis have been planning this since last 3 years at-least..

porkis didn't move a muscle when Chinese were deploying their army across the eastern order.. since Chinese side deployment is now complete, now porkis and chinese have started deployment on west side.

Prasar Bharti writes to PTI, to review relationship after the news agency provides a platform for China to run its propaganda

The Prasar Bharti is deeply anguished by news agency PTI’s coverage in recent times and is considering withdrawing financial support to the latter over their recent coverage. OpIndia has learnt from reliable sources that Prasar Bharti is greatly displeased with what has been described as ‘anti-national’ reporting.

PTI has apparently been receiving huge fees from the public broadcaster, the fees are said to be in crores and it has been going on since decades. Reportedly, Prasar Bharti pays PTI over RS. 9 crores annually, which is in addition to the amount paid by PIB. Now, sources tell us that PTI’s ‘anti-national’ reporting makes Prasar Bharti believe that it does not make it feasible to carry forward the said relationship.

Sources also tell us that PTI has been averse towards a review of the same since 2016-17. But in light of PTI’s recent coverage, Prasar Bharti has initiated a review of the relationship between the two. We are told that PTI will be informed of the decision soon.

PTI had come under great criticism recently after an interview with Chinese ambassador Sun Weidong. During the interview, the Chinese ambassador blamed India for the clash between the two countries at Galwan Valley. Journalists of other agencies were outraged by the fact that the PTI did not bother to counter-question the Chinese ambassador on his dubious claims. People have also pointed out that the ‘interview’ came across as a press release by the Chinese Communist Party rather than a genuine interview.

This is shocking. Always thought that PTI was a Govt mouth piece which is now aligned with Modi Govt. It was also part of leftist ecosystem and still continued to damage our interests till date.

Enough is enough with these bastard journalists and editors. We need a media professional regulation and compliance authority which makes them accountable to public just like there is doctors, lawyers, CA, CS.

Every journalist and writer needs to have a practising license. All this freelance crap should be stopped. Medias job is to report news and facts. Their job is not to provide their opinion, sell enemies opinion like a sell out or manipulate the public.

Every fake news and anti national reporting should invite massive penalities and fines making it a criminal offence.

Enough of media and FOE.
