So with even a slight opportunity of gaining knowledge, the PLA tries its best to learn and copy as much as it can. While our Army SF and "ghataks" who have open access to American, Israeli and French tactical knowledge and equipment do almost nothing to incorporate them.

What's that saying? You can take a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. Meanwhile the Chinese horse desperately searches for water and doesn't hesitate to drink it when it finds it.
The American SOF community had their influence on several SF units around the world from their partner nations like SK, AU, JAP, NATO and those where they were deployed in active conflicts like Afghanistan, Iraq etc. If IA sets it's ego aside and make a formal or informal request, I'm sure the Brits, Yanks or Israelis would be willing to lend a few trainers to nurture our SOF and infantry training both from a strategic and tactical standpoint. But hey...IA would rather have the Indian Rambo Shifuji train our men over these western noobs

This is one of those rare cases where the politicians and MEA actually did their job properly by fostering closer ties to western militaries through arranging for exercises, training and tech access, but the Army itself has blown the opportunity by not taking advantage of this pivotal change in India's relations with the west.

Exactly infact many conveyed such suggestions to ex para sf guys but they say the higher officers aren't willing to

Def Sec Giridhar Aramane recently acknowledged the ongoing tension, stating at a business event last month that the potential for a situation similar to the 2020 clash is again a possibility.
More golgappa coming for Chinese then.

So it looks like they are going to try something before the elections.

Raise a separate corp for Sikkim. PLA will be going hammer & tongs for it in a conflict. Admittedly we're in a well entrenched position there but with major lacunae in our armaments & platforms procurement in both the IA & IAF all we can do is throw men at it .
