The respected members of the forum must understand that there is nothing so special to debate. This confusion of whether the LAC shifted to left or right has no value.

Have this and previous governments cared less about appeasing the vote bank by providing loan waivers to defaulters wasting the exchequers' money, the whole Ladakh , Himachal, Uttarakhand and North East would have been more habitable zone and people would have not left their villages and moved to metropolitan, keeping the area unwatched and unattended.

I actually thank China to fix mentality of Indian government to bring them on toes and realize the gravity of the situation. But I don't think that even now government is serious to actually make people live in hilly areas.

If the area is left open for enemy, it will be encroached.

Pakistanf or the same settled huge population in POK so that Indians fail to actually penetrate the region since population is hostile to Indians.

Horrible accident. This can't be allowed to occur again and again.

Sixteen Army personnel including three Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) were killed in a road accident at Zema in North Sikkim on Friday when their vehicle skidded off while negotiating a sharp turn, the Army said. The truck was

We need to build several tunnels in all Himalayan states to avoid such accidents, the roads are just too dangerous for driving

Are the bus/truck drivers themselves doing their utmost to drive as carefully and safely as possible in these areas? To the superficial viewer, it doesn't look that way. You realise that there are issues like job pressures and schedule deadlines, but it's still occurring too often.

The roads on the hillsides are very narrow and can get slippery also the issue of landslide is very common, accidents on such roads can't always avoided.

The same happened few months ago with the bus accident

Again its a combination of driver vigilance/state, road conditions and vehicle safety check

And Japan is going to do this with what money? They'll have to spend more on state assisted nappies for old people than ships tbh.
They will increase the % of GDP for defense from 1% to 2% and they will automate as much they can as they are doing in their civil society.

looks like we stopped patrolling some areas unilaterally .

hopefully chinese are not patrolling too .

samar lungpa area .

IMO physical patrolling is not really a requirement if we can keep an eye on our area using UAVs and remote sensing.
Unless the Chinese are not encroaching on our territory we don’t need to actively confront them, especially when we are at a geographical & strategic disadvantage.

i.e. don't provoke the Chinese by patrolling your own land? :hmm:

Wasn't this dismissed by PIB factcheck handle on twitter?
I do not wish to believe you although you may be right, yet Chinese captured sticks are on display.

All PIB denials are not to upset Chinese too much.

With the PLA we better build REAL infrastructure and be ready for high end technology based defense warfare. Propaganda will not work much. We have to solidly demonstrate that messing with India would derail their economic power forever. Get defense technology to a level where countries like Japan, Korea, the US, Australia etc want to co-produce weapons systems. Such production and exports of such hi-tech systems from India is the signal that will forever castrate PLA’s balls as it will bust the myth that india is a technologically weak country being fed into every CCPeas and PLA.
