Okay fine buddy, go read about allied bomber loses in ww2 over Germany.
They literally took 1000 bombers with 800 fighters as escort.
To level up a single city.
And if you send in a single plane with a nuke, enemy will do every thing possible to shoot it down mid air.

I don't think I would gain too much by studying a period when Air power innovation was just beginning, today's bombers are much more efficient. More so we just cannot use Nuclear weapons as first resort due to primarily no first stike policy and secondly the Doctrine of M.A.D (Mutually assured destruction)

Because while China can mass produce their Air defences since they use indigeneous, we have to rely on exporters and boy exports become twice as slow to deploy when enemy fighters are over your cities

In India my friend, we simply do not have the finances we prop up IAF to Chinese level, what I suggest alternatively is that we invest heavily in Air defenses, now we have 3 regiments of S-400 but surely more are needed. Sort of a layered defense of Long range, medium range and tactical SAMs and Electronic warfare systems.

It is rather low chance that they would attack Delhi, If I was chinese forward controller I would much rather attack the Army commands like Eastern Army command, kolkatta etc. + they would have to cross the Himalayas or Karakoram much hard to navigate

Mass air power was at its peak in ww2
Because air defences were too few and too inaccurate to counter the allied bomber onslaught.
After that war no where such levels of aerial bombing has been used.
Do you know why?
Because back then they had 1000 bombers raiding one town, so even if 200 are lost due to enemy flak, enemy interception or accidents, 800 will bomb the town regard less.
Total bombers produced by USA alone in ww2 was 200, 443.
Now yes they were cheaper to make and yes they were primitive compared to today
You want similar results with few bombers without using nukes, which is impossible. My friend

But RCI is not a dumb organization
Our gmp is one of the biggest success
Don't worry drdo can develop ERADS in a very short time
Comon man it's RCI
They can deliver it in short time
Problem will be with testing timeline, few corrections and then procurement
Procurement is the only problem bcoz our military won't order simply but show many nakharas and then comes bureaucratic hurdles
That's the issue development is never the issue
As it won't be any masdive new tech to develope
Go and check the timelines where rci have made systems in record time

I didn't knew ERADS was RCI undertaking and yeh boys at RCI do a decent job after all they have a reputation to uphold. Just praying that this doesn't turn out to be another Arjun tank

The policy was not "If we don't go there, the Chinese won't either"; it was "If we don't go there, we won't see the Chinese". It's like schrodinger's NEFA, or object permanence in a baby, or an ostrich putting it's head into the sand when it sees a predator instead of running - it is traitorous, wilful ignorance, and a deep rooted fear of the Chinese. Because if they did find the Chinese there, what would they do? Fight? That's too much work. We'll just stay here, and pretend the Chinese don't do anything.

Nehru died out in 1964 my friend, but these past 70 years have been anything but kind to us in the way that the leadership behaves in this regard. This too will pass with due time as generations come up, but the effects will be felt for a while

I am afraid this strategy has been already stolen by the armed forces. We massively improved our air defense cover after the 2019 Balakot strike. Most crucial areas now have a 3-layer AD consisting of AA guns + short-range SAMs + Medium range SAMs.

Also, regarding your vetoing of long-range bombers, we have no need of long-range bombers. We are not looking to invade mainland China, just to protect ourselves from Chinese aggression. Hence, we have no requirement for long-range strikes with massive payload capacity.

It will be wiser if we focus on offensive-defense strategy w.r.t China in Tibet & Indian Ocean.
