"So 10 percent of this" - Where does it say that?
Defence Expenditure along with ISRO and DAE is 10 percent of Annual GOI total yearly Expenditure as projected on the Day of the Budget

So out of this additional Expenditure
Defence will definitely get its share
Because of the Chinese threat

Kind of off-topic. But one of the persons I know mentioned how in the 1990s when the free-trade agreement with China was signed, they had to go meet the Chinese delegation on the border(Himachal region, around Rekong Peo), and one remarkable thing I found was that we had almost no road development there, while the Chinese had full 8-lane highways.

Apparently the logic was that if we made roads, in the case of a Chinese invasion, the Chinese would use that road to come to us, so we didn't build any roads at all. Just a bunch of kaccha dirt roads.

Sat image of a brigade sized PLA camp near Kona (which is around 50km from the recent clash site). Apparently the camp was mostly dismantled after the clash (may or may not be related).
Observed it in Sentinel back on 12th Dec. Not brigade size, battalion size at most. Situated northeast of Cona. It started thinning out (not vanished) by 9th Dec, so my assumption was the force was moved to the frontline (model village opposite Thang La, or border outposts).

Anyway, this was nothing alarming but expected. No further build-up of troops was observed thereafter opposite Tawang, hence I did not report.

Nope doesn't really work like that, I think it's safe to bet it's all subsidy.

werid to see PLA talk about taking a loss

The tracking was aimed at “deterrence”, the report quoted PLA Major General Meng Xiangqing, from the PLA National Defence University, as saying.

However a source said the People’s Liberation Army’s tracking efforts – which involved jets and Type 055 destroyers – failed

“The PLA deployed some electronic warfare aircraft such as the J-16D and warships to try to locate Pelosi’s aircraft, but were not successful,” the report said.

“Almost all the PLA electronic warfare equipment couldn’t work because they were all jammed by electronic interference by the American aircraft strike group sent by the Pentagon to escort her.”

US military capability is something else.

Goodluck to China trying to "snatch" Taiwan.

They had to provide some kind of reasonable answer to the radical population made up of little pink wumao maggots who believe in wolf warrior philosophy.

Since they can not say "we were too coward to do something" . Its better to say "we had intentions, but EW equipment of US blocked us from doing something".

Pretty sure both are true, lol. I have no doubts that the US electronic equipment absolutely fucked with the Chinese

Bullshit narrative created for domestic consumption. Chinese never intended to track/shoot down Pelosi's aircraft. All the posturing using tanks without ammunition, ICBMs roaming on streets instead of silos, and now EW aircraft to track a 50m2 RCS aircraft :bplease: can only fool the local mango population.

I am not sure if I am talking about the same thing.

7th Dec vs. 12th Dec

The gif turned out to be shit quality so look at the individual pictures -

It's not that alarming honestly, reason I did not pay much attention. But that red tents + houses around can easily house a brigade-sized force without raising alarm.

Article is paywalled and i don't have access - can someone tell what's so special about these "high resolution" camaras that needed clearance from CCS, that too just for 17? 🤔
