How India is going to stop Chinese UAVs
A concern for sure
And we are lacking
We have good relationship with Iran , is it good to get a few hundred s of cheap uavs
On a sober note ...

Countries like Jordan ultimately had to find this out the hard way, offering its entire fleet of CH-4Bs UCAVs for sale less than two years after acquiring the drones.

The same type fared little better in Iraq, with eight of its 20 CH-4Bs crashing within a timespan of just a few years while the twelve remaining examples are currently languishing in a hangar with a lack of spare parts.
Elsewhere, Algeria lost three CH-4Bs to crashes in a matter of months, while countries like Nigeria, Morocco and Turkmenistan all purchased Turkish UCAVs after earlier acquiring Chinese-made UCAVs.

Their sketchy service record suggests that after-sale support provided by the Chinese manufacturers leaves something to be desired.

Iran has loitering/kamikaze drones and low-endurance MALE drones. What we need is high-endurance MALE or HALE drones, along the lines of the MQ-9 Reaper and MQ-4 Triton which have a 12+ hour endurance and a SAR + ELINT payload.

Hmm. Soaring Dragon failed to soar when poor fellow dragons got beaten by us.
Technology definitely helps, but boots on the ground define warfare.

Btw, I am perplexed by the Chinese ELINT. Even with all these plethoras of drones, satellites, and ELINT units, they twice failed to gauge IA response, both during Op Snow Leopard in Ladakh, and now Op. Han Chutney in Tawang. And I am pretty sure IA isn't employing some high-tech space warfare shit deceptions and jamming to fool the Chinese, the Chinese are just straight incompetent.

Currently navy chief was saying 30 predator drone deal ll be finalized soon . And adani elbit had also offered a low cost HALE class UAV . We might as well buy their Hermis 900 male UAV .

The consul general of China in Mumbai has announced establishment of a school in the memory of Dr Dwarkanath Shantaram Kotnis in his home district Solapur in Maharashtra as a tribute to the legendary Indian physician who went to China in 1938 and provided medical aid in the battle zone during the second Sino-Japanese War.

The announcement was made by Chinese consul general in Mumbai Kong Xianhua, who also said good ties between New Delhi and Beijing are promoted by people.

"We will work with the Solapur Municipal Corporation to establish Dr Kotnis Friendship School. Nine Chinese companies have expressed the intent to support the project," said Kong in his keynote speech delivered on December 12 to commemorate the 80th death anniversary of Dr Kotnis.

Solapur is located nearly 400km away from Mumbai.

Dr Kotnis' behaviour makes us aware a good China-India relationship is promoted by the people and should benefit the people in the end, he said. -- PTI

Rich coming from PLA - CCP Maotards who killed our medic in cold blood during the Galwan clash.

Nathan Ruser is a massive idiot, perhaps even a closet commie. During Op Snow Leopard, he marked the Indian posts on Yellow Top as "Chinese posts" and intentionally logged off, refusing to explain. Caused a massive RR in this forum and Twitter as well.

His OSINT skills are very mediocre honestly, DFI members like @mokoman do a far better job than him.

I don't find armed drones (armed MALE/HALE drones) particularly useful in Indo-China scenario. Smaller, loitering munitions which can fly nape of the earth evading radar are more deadly. Bigger, high-endurance drones are good for gathering ELINT/COMINT and surveillance.

Absolutely state of the country that we can't seem to make mass produced RC planes with cameras stuck on them.
For that u need a credible electronics manufacturing ecosystem
And u know electronics manufacturing is non existent in our nation

Excuses excuses. Electronics are needed for making everything from refrigerators to cars to satellite launch vehicles. And we make all of them. Out defence procurement is just that shit.
