Engines were present
Many RFP were issued for sub systems
Even many sources confirmed Coupling news
Even then this delay
But vayu is very credible though
No word from agency until now

Bear in mind that Tejas MK2 will replace the Mirage 2000 and Mig 29 from the mid 2030s.

Tejas Mk 1A is replacing the Mig 21 and Jaguar squadrons.

AMCA is the new MRFA.

Mk1A is already developed. Most R&D money will go to AMCA and UCAVs subsystems. Next year India will be $4 trillion, by 2030 $7 trillion according to JP Morgan etc. We can fund these projects over the years.

All the weapons those have sensors are prone to jamming including manned fighters. But there are cat and mouse games between ECM, ECCM and others and this will go on. But ummammed systems fused with AI are the future of warfare.

Wingman will be introduced in most 4.5 gen or 5th gen fighters before 6th gen come into pocture. Even Apache has some features like that. Germany and France fighting over whether to develop wingman or 6th gen fighter first.

Stop mk2 and in war like scenario produce more mk1As Or harder to produce and costly AMCA Or beg for more rafales from firance?
Who will phase out 4.5 gen with 6th gen?
Murica plans about 300 NGAD will it replace 1000s of f16s?
Or china that is still producing j11B/15/16/16Ds/10C and effectively working on better versions of them as we speak?
Kamikaze drones are goods and so are UCAVs but how and where have you seen UCAVs achieving air superiority?
How will we counter china with drones?
How will drones be used against air superiority platforms like j11s and 20s?
Drones will complement the fleet not replace the fighters.
Dassault has a roadmap to keep rafales relevant till 2070s.
If drones become better than fighters in every aspect just make the mk2s OMCA like.
Also let's not forget the commonality of parts b/w mk2 and AMCA.
Whenever it may it will be one of the most advanced 4.5th gen fighter.
