This bloody joker Zaid Hamid talks too much

There is every possibility that this unit and this soldier are Newly posted to LOC

We know that there is a constant rotation of units

And that this soldier is getting a feel of the
Situation around him

This clearly looks like a practice session

In Indian Army , the motto that they follow
Is " One Round One Kill "

So he fired just one round

This MC Lal Topi lives in a world of his own

His Army is getting fukked on LOC

That is why
Bajwa and Imran are playing Tabla and Harmonium and Singing " We want peace "

He should go to the LOC to see how the PA is getting beaten up

Pakis claim they use Barret M82. It has maximum range of 4 kms with effective range of 1.9kms. Interestingly Wikipedia says this same sniper rifle is in use with Mumbai forece one commando :frusty:
Yes, Force One ordered Barret sniper rifles right at the time of their formation.

The BEST sniper rifles are MOSTLY bolt action!
Making the rifle semi-automatic means providing for a gas port from the barrel, which compromises accuracy.
Barrets do a better job by employing 'recoil operated' action. But this of course makes the engineering a little more complex.

The only problem with sniping is that you can't confirm on a kill. Its the media or through intelligence from which such attacks does come out. Its very rare to have a physical confirmation of a kill.
Kills are almost always confirmed by the 'spotter' accompanying the sniper. In the absence of a 'spotter' the sniper's word is mostly taken at face value or deemed as 'unconfirmed' kill.
Nobody in the sniping world waits for media to confirm.
One can rest assured that no media can independently confirm sniper kills afflicted on Taliban, ISIS or Paki army - in all these cases the media relies on inputs from the sniping team! (perhaps the news of high-value-target kills gets disseminated from the other side too....)

This acquisition project, which was finally granted “acceptance of necessity” by the Defence Acquisitions Council in February this year at an estimated cost of Rs 982 crore under the “Buy Global” categorisation, is however still at the initial tendering or request for proposal (RFP) stage. It will take at least three to four more years for the actual contract to be inked after extensive field trials and commercial evaluation.

Our procurement system sucks to hell and high heaven. There any number of world class sniper rifles that have been in use by various armies in the world. Why we don't accepted these tried and tested rifles is incomprehensible. But we go through the rigmarole of AON, RFIs, tenders, years of testing of already tested weapons by various armies, commercial negotiations and so on!

Another 3-4 years for a new sniper rifle? Damn!! In the meanwhile more soldiers are getting martyred at the LoC by Paki snipers who are equipped with some of the best sniper rifles in the world while we make do with ancient 1963 vintage DMR Druganovs which are not even proper sniper rifles!

If the SF including MARCOS, GARUD, NSG, etc have already been equipped with the latest sniper rifles, why another round of procurement for the Infantry manning the LoC? Strange! Why not issue these already tried, tested and accepted sniper rifles to the sniper sections of infantry battalions? Probably too expensive - but are they more expensive than the life of a soldier?

Main reason for this is Doctrine of IA

Which is not changed for quite decade or so

Sniping is an art and there is Dedicated training facilities to this in every combat unit in Western militaries

Indian army infantry which doesn't even have single Dedicated Sniping training facility to one of the most important Aspect of warfare

U can clearly understand how fucked up mind set of our fucking GHQ have.

They still living in 1971 era

Gilgit Baltistan and J&K will be seized by pak via china in 6 months if Raga comes to power.
Enemies wont give India another political chance they have seen the shape of things to come.
I tell you if that happened, then nehru and vadra empire will get a taste from indians that even I can't imagine.

What kind of taste ?
Gandhi family controls almost underground mafia network and most Social media houses. Until these two work hand in hand no body will be able to move or harm them.

Stop being a hypocrite. Congress ruled India since 1947. Tell me When did Congress allowed Pakis to capture even an inch of Indian land?

Have people forgotten the 30-45 days camping of chinese troops in ladakh and north east. Congress knows Indians are prone to amnesia, no wonder we keep on voting them back to power. A promise of freebies and we start drooling.
