when you are serious never use foul words.

This is what exactly I wanted to notify you. so case closed

Because, these mentioned countries did not invite OFB or DRDO for bidding. Moreover, even if they had invited they still need permission from MOD. Or may be OFB has enough work in hand.
but your point was not this. you simply said Indian made small arms are just shit which is wrong.
They don't have enough work in hand infact they are asking for it.

Ghatak and TAR (Ak based ) were good attempt but need to be improved on.

Milled reciever on TAR was a welcome move .

AK 203 by OFB could have brought competition among the OFBs in between these 3 types to get the share of Indian defense market and we might have seen an improved AK derivative and improvement in their quality and work ethics.

He is Commodore Sukhjindar Singh. He was the incharge of INS Vikramaditya's refit in Russia.

Officially he is accused of "sexual misconducts" by the navy.

Unofficially he is accused of being honeytrapped by Russian agents and then manipulated to increase the cost of refits by almost a billion dollars.
This OT, but was he court martialled or not ? What was the punishment given to him

Just a guy with his opinion on 5.56😁
The main reason is these days soldiers and even terrorists have started wearing bulletproof jackets which are able to take 5.56 hit .

So you need to be very precise with those.

While with AK round in CQB once it hits you it's a done deal most of the time.

With 7.62 round it goes further on. The only issue is high recoil with these rounds. With Sig 716I it is taken of to an extent. If we had gone for SCAR H/L they have even lower recoil but expensive ones.

6.5/6.8 might be the future where I really wish our MCIWS projects is either revived or we work with Sig or any other company to have a rifle able to fire both round simply by changing the barrel and magazine.

A middle finger to everyone who thinks he has basic knowledge about firearms and ballistics.....
Lol what is reliability of this weapon

SSS defense is just a new firm

Why should we trust them with such huge orders in one go

I would rather stick to OFB than going to rookie reliable company

We can trust baba Kalyan as it reliable name in market
So is Adani group PLR
And TATA

SSS defense as firm has not even turn over of 100 cr

We don't know that they are just Pimping us third-party weapons from original OEM

Let the Sniper get operational service clearance then we talk

Actually that's not the point here. Even small start-ups can successfully fulfill tenders using asset light model.

The problem is the way they are promoting their products with such big claims despite just assembling them using imported parts.

Making a Designated Marksman Rifle in 7.62x39mm just confirms the level of expertise they have regarding firearms.

Well that could have been said about Accuracy International when they got their first order. We all know about the AWM right?

Ya, and we also know that when first Green Meanie was launched it was a revolutionary idea that completely changed the Precision Rifle industry forever.

As of now almost all good rifles produced after AW copied one element of it.

Though all of them can be chambered in .300 Blackout, but they are in 5.56x45 NATO.

Interesting, how you got to that conclusion.
considering the ballistics of a 5.56 out of a 5-8 inch barrell, i would stick to 300blk, most of these guns are meant for 300blk. The sig rattler, the scar sc and the daniel defence pdw for example.
