considering the ballistics of a 5.56 out of a 5-8 inch barrell, i would stick to 300blk, most of these guns are meant for 300blk. The sig rattler, the scar sc and the daniel defence pdw for example.
There's a bit difference between "I would stick to BLK" and "most of these guns are meant for BLK".

All are available in 5.56. Moreover some are available in 5.56 only.

I am a big fan of INSAS rifle, i have even called the rifle that won us the kargil many times. the rifle is cocktail of FN-FAL and AK47 design. this rifle made sense in the 90's but not any more.

personally, i still find that 5.56x45 FMJ 62gr is a still a better round compared to 7.62 of that AK round..
but INSAS is not the best rifle to fire 62gr round.

sadly, the time has come for INSAS and AK's Family

Does they work differently from a m240? I mean by range, rate of fire?
Yup, both use different methods of locking, feeding and also recoil management.

But the most important difference from a soldier's perspective is weight. Negev NG-7 weighs 2-3kg less than M240.

Well that could have been said about Accuracy International when they got their first order. We all know about the AWM right?
They started With minimum orders not bulk

Lets First order 1000 Snipers And Test it in operational service foe 2-3 years

That's how things are supposed to work but that's not how they work.

Ok leave it. This was your doubt.
SSS defense as firm has not even turn over of 100 cr
The turnover of SSS Springs, the parent company of SSS Defence has a turnover of 600 Cr.
So no matter what they offer in the name of a completely IDDM sniper rifle, they can easily bag the tender.

Sorry wrote it wrong. What I meant was, how good is it compared to M240 which is a MMG for US army?
