this actually not bad, the new stock looks good, looking at the compactness, it might be good for law enforcement purposes.

things like that dont matter, a sniper will paint his rifle anyways. For once it does not look bad at all.

IMHO that sniper rifle was prepared according to the specification of the Indian Army's stalled 800m range sniper rifle RFI. Similarly insas was also prepared on the same line.

The background talk in the video indicates that rifle was tested out to 800m. This is broadly limit of 7.62x51 round & thereafter more powerful rounds are required.

In Civilian situations the average shooting by Sniper is around 100m. And 300m is the outside. Beyond 500m, no sniper will shoot in civilian situations

Only in military situations, we require ranges longer than 500m, for which OFB & SSS is offering 0.338 which is good upto 1500m.

I wonder if OFB & SSS intend to offer new 0.50 inch sniper rifle also ( considering that Vidhwansk is too heavy) ?

TBH it looks like a .308 AK 15 had a baby with INSAS. Needs a lot more in terms of refinement.
