What happened? Did the rifle cook off with that 'whistle'? An AK suffering a malfunction shows that OFB Ghatak is not a good sign.

That whistle came from the rifle guy firing. He is talking about guy next to him. (Assam Police printed in red)
This is pretty common type of malfunction in AKs. Usually happens while firing an AK for long. Bullet case got stuck between firing pin & ejection port. You can see the cocking handle is not the at the position it is supposed to be. That's why he could neither cock nor attach the mag. He tried hard cocking the handle which is the common solution but looks like they later opened the dust cover to clear it.

Same thing happens in this video. Guy at extreme right. Fires one round & next gets stuck. Takes out the mag and cocks it. Bullet falls and shows to his ustaad.

Failure to feed/battery happens when using really dirty steel ammunition. Blocks up the gas port over time thus having lower pressure. By design, due to generous tolerances, an AK doesn't jam.

Why is my AK 47 jamming?
It sounds like your not getting enough pressure to blow the bolt carrier back enough. If you have cleaned the gas tube already then try taking a paper clip and sticking it in the little hole in the gas block that goes down to barrel. It could be stuffed up from shooting that wolf ammo.

Another cause could be the hat deflecting shells towards the ejector and causing bolt misalignment. In both cases the hat was used as a makeshift brass catcher.
