This GPMG order most likely will be fake some time ago there were rumors like this of ordering 1400 FN scar h for para .these guys are taking one thing from the sandeep unnithan report of the FMS report and are re uploading it one by one.
Well clearly this will also end in the same dissapointment , just like the order from last year . Clearly f***3d up because 2 companies were ignorant about supplying weapons on "Humanitarian Grounds" because of chindi NGO propaganda .

Indian acquisition remains a mystery for me. Never figured it out and will never be able to do so.
We get AK 203 and then Sig 716 both different ammo and weapon system. Then we decide to acquire LMG Negev and then now we move on for nominal purchase of M240 or M60. it seems we are like Santa Claus we make everybody happy by giving all parties some orders. Of note, i understand NATO round 7.62x51mm is not produced in the country.

Ideally, we could have standardised on the AK 203 family series get the carbine, SAW version. Then get Pecheneg LMG it would be significant boost to firepower over existing squad firepower.
Both OFB Varangaon and Ammunition Factory Khadki make 7.62x51mm NATO ammunition. However they are more suited and optimised for longer barrels of Bren, SLR and FN MAG derivatives(>20 inches barrel) , so it is a slight compromise. Initially a few million rounds were purchased as part of the deal from SIG SAUER themselves(more suited for 16 inch barrel of SIG 716) and later OFB rounds were used.
An RFI did exist for Private Industry to manufacture modern versions of this round but no further information is available on its status.

Last week, India's cases accounted for about half of the total global cases and a quarter of the total deaths. Relevant experts pointed out that this scale of infection means that the "third wave" of the epidemic has not come, but has already come. Our government has announced the prohibition of holding public gatherings and speeding up the pace of vaccination. However, due to the large population base, the goal of universal vaccination cannot be achieved for the time being. Our country still has a long way to go in terms of vaccination. This requires the United States to supply a large amount of raw materials and supplies. Although the United States has given us assistance, it is far from reaching the level we hoped. Therefore, in the third wave of the epidemic, we need to recognize the reality and not rely too much on its support.

It's not a "person"
Those are CCP bots here to spread "awareness"
This forum was lit with these bots during galwan clashes and even recently as 1-2 months ago

I READ THATY Scar-H was okay. They had problems with Scar-L. So they decided to ditch the Scar-L in favor of SOPMOD M-4s and ordered conversion kits for Scar-L to Scar-H version

Scar H has plenty of its own issues. From what I have read the heat and flash coming out if the Barrell makes it almoat impossible to fire the weapon standing next to another person.

To add to that, there are reports that SCAR guns have vibration issues that could damage the optics mounted on the rails.

Yes it’s true, it’s like the AK of 5.56 world, H has much more of this issue that’s why AR-15s and AR-10s are what forces remain interested in.

The problem with the SCAR-16 was that they were not a technological leap forward..it did not justify the extra cost involved into adopting it. AR15s can do what the scars do pretty well. The issue of optic damage is an issue only with the scar17, US forces also had a problem with their reciprocating charging handle but that issue has been solved recently with the addition of a non reciprocating charging handle in the newer models.
