late to the party but it seems like exfil is being standardized along with p2, and patka is an endangered species

Exfil is present with some units only. 4,9 and maybe 1 have these ballistic highcut exfils

My opinion of this unit gets lower and lower every day, they seem to have completely eroded their core identity as silent professionals. On the interview posted a few pages back of an ex-21 PARA SF officer he said one of the things PARA SF look for is professionalism, and then they go and post stuff like this at their own site? They need to be torn down and built from the ground up, they are too far gone.

Indian military has insufficient specialists and specialist teams, there are some units in Western militaries with less than a company strength but they are very very specialised (pathfinders, urban rescue, HEMS etc etc) whilst In Indian military it is the exact opposite- large numbers of generalists even if they wear a maroon beret. Here Garuds are having to train for this because who else does the IAF have to send if they have a hostage situation on one of their bases? In the US it would be done by the SWAT/ERT of the MP/SF (security forces- USAF’s force protection unit), what does IAF have? IAF police? DSC? QRT? None can handle such a situation so they have to give this job to Garuds

USAF even has a very small specialist force inside USAF security forces whose sole skill set is to protect their aircraft in hostile locations (DARE), we’ve seen IAF embark Garuds for this role when sending aircraft to Yemen and Afghanistan.

This is why US SOFs are so good at what they do because they specialise in doing only a few things very very well. Indian units have to be jacks of all trades and masters of none.

I feel his father is some high ranking army official ( serving ) , he gets to photograph himself inside military bases. (( This was the issue with military brats we were arguing about one day , there are people who do all this and there are who doesn't, in all my life my father never photographed me or allowed me take a photograph inside any base))

On internet he claims to be some covert secret ex military intelligence discussing about some crazy missions with elite predator bhai sahab.

Most of these kids demand the same level of respect their dads gets as if they too are doing some national service which rest of us are not doing

I have a friend who is the daughter of a JCO and she has not one thing good to say about the perceived difference between children of JCOs and Officers etc
These children of officers can be real d:cks to children of other ranks

So i equally blame the parents.

My home was pretty different..I was told to respect everyone and equally and most of the times i used to be hanging around in langars and MT and i had a fun time.

But nowdays i have seen the kids are made to believe they are a super class just like how it is in Pakistan Army and they look down on others.

And hence most of these kids dont go on to achieve anything great in life ie the jump in terms of lifestyle or even a decent job.

Those who manage to get through is by what i rather not say..

Gen GD Bakshi says proudly that my generation has broken the enemy into two and now its onto you..and no matter what everyone will say the standard has gone for i dont know what.

The lack of intelligence,smartness,planning is poor and visible from poster qualities till the rucksack.

Nope , since they've never seen in use . Even if its for training purposes , it holds no actual value during combats , as weapons used by Garud SF are :Tar-21 , CTar ,STar modified ak clones and in a few years ak-103 with mod kits , Sig716i , Galatz polymer , Negev SF .
