It wasn't my decision to buy the Tavor for SF. All i am saying is obsession with weapons platforms can be secondary. I would rather have Sf that are capable in using a wide variety of weapons and able to employ them effectively. Unfortunately the SF isn't really empowered to buy what they want, the MOD, procurement policies, bureaucracy makes it difficult. While the Tavor isn't better than a modern AR-15, it's been reliable in service and reliability in our conditions matter. Hence it's difficult for the army to ignore the the AK platforms either. I was delighted when they order the SIG and I hope they order versions of that but please lets stop this non sense that just because they use they Tavors they are some how inferior. Few SF have the breath of experience, list of accomplishments and absolute badassery in ops as Indian SF.What a stupid and shallow opinion.
By the way the Tavor cant hit a barn wall beyond 300meters .
It's simple the IWI has a large and ever evolving product line, it's only obvious they will replace quicker. Without domestic orders, such companies can fall into trouble, they can't survive on exports alone. So you will see various units in the IDF employ a wide variety of weapons. Also replacing weapons system is a slow process can take several years.
Arent these the olive planet ones , @Gessler has one isn't it , heard its non ballistic ?so why did we buy it demonstration or photo op purposes maybe . Rather than going for BUMP high cuts from ops core , it would've been usefull to purchase some FAST ballistic types . So far so the only SF pictures where we've seen exfil ballistic with the whole team is the 'Nagrota Encounter' and Paratrooper Chhatrapal Singh's team in 'Randori Behak'

It is not ops core , why ? notice the design difference , the olive planet has ear cut but it is edged somewhat downward (similar to maritime cut) meanwhile the ops core has the ear cut edged front upward . The nvg cord isn't present in olive planet helmet and observe the rails . The ops core have their signature thin rail set meanwhile the olive planet ones use the thicker rail . Identical to the ear cut , the olive planet rails end downward meanwhile the ops core ends fronward with the bolt.Photos from 2017-18
Used by para SF units and SG
Apparently these are OpsCore FAST
