That's not a sniper rifle, but a DMR without a scope hasn't been a thing since WW1

Someone for the love of everything that's Holy, teach them about pressure switches and wire management. Running the wire over your irons is just absurd. They literally handed them these rifles without any knowledge of how to properly use them!!

Makes you think about all the casualties over the years and how many could’ve been prevented….

what exactly is the wire here? pressure switches - I am assuming you mean something like the "hold to illuminate" IR lasers and such

This poor man has no idea what he has been handed, he just mounted it like an optic. He probably turns the IR laser on and thinks it doesnt even work. Look at where he has mounted that pressure switch.

Precisely. The soldier is running a LAM in a night ops environment without using any NODs. This effectively makes the whole setup redundant. Also without a red dot or any other scope, he relies entirely on his Flip up sights which again is redundant since he has the wire running over it!
the whole setup is just a joke!!
