Logistics? funny coming from an Army that has adopted 3 different types of weapons with three different calibres for their standard issue.
As long as they order it in sufficient quantities which a logistics chain could be created and weapon systems could be maintained. IA is a large standing force with vastly different and varied roles. So the logistic units probably did their homework and made these weapon systems work. They evaluated them and decided that those worked in their existing structure and parameters.

And the latest gizmos that you guys wanted are imported anyway. So how are you confused?
Because had you said that the Indian Army wants made in India and is waiting for the domestic sector to come up to import and shown some interest of grooming the sector by financing or knowledge like the UsA then your argument made would have made any sense

Is it really 100% made in India? Can you get all the parts in India or do you have to order them? More investigation and in depth analysis is needed before you make such a sweeping conclusion.

The logistics part to be specific.
How so? Think about it. When you are in the field, the only thing or body that can supply the parts is your quartermaster. You are not gonna have a parts shop or Walmart type of thing/store dropped in your area for your convenience. You have to make requisitions for the parts and hope the parts come in time to repair your gadgets/geewhizmo stuff. And your quartermaster only have so much space, budgetary allowance, & logistical capability & constraints to get the parts in. Some things have to give.

Dude, the whole damn arsenal of the Army is imported from many different nations, so none of your points hold much water.

Doesn’t matter. As long as the higher ups have made their investment and built up the chain for the parts they ordered. They can’t order everything. Only the things that fit their budgets and system.

That's the thing - they haven't. Just take a look at the T-90s.
They can’t order everything.
So you're saying they can order jetpacks but not a few thousand pieces of proper plate carriers and gen 3 NVGs??!! Give me a break.
Only the things that fit their budgets and system.
Correction: only the things that will allow them to line their pockets (and stroke their loins).

They dont have certain external pouches at the moment...plus this setup is really common in army since quite a while ago.
can easily carry 10+ mags and a couple of frags on him with this setup instead of max 8 with dual placards and side pouches on PC so its pretty good idea imo

Any images of dual placards in service with SF.
