SF reduced to bag holders for senior most generals, peak Indian military/babudom

still yet to see any reasonable answer as to why active duty SF guys need to do this and not some MPs with extra training/equipment. As usual nothing is used as it should be and there’s no actual interest in merit

even CAPFs raised dedicated close protection units once NSG realised this was a misuse of their manpower. None of them are para qualified or expected to do 40 mile endurance runs

Paras who were doing raids behind enemy lines in the first year of their raising as their very first OPs are now reduced to being humiliated by black people and safiawalas of Genrails who send them to die.

These same generals have 5 para soldiers blood on their hands this year. In my view, they and only they are responsible for those deaths in rajouri.

Oh yeah and look they are armed. The bag holder doesn't seem to be delta. And Units like CAG provide close protection to high value personnel under the veil of secrecy not in full uniform posting badges donning a beret and wearing shitty knee pads

Kya yaaar! One good chance we had to always be equally compatible with the west in terms of exercises and equipment.

Nehi I mean good if we can continue without their help. What other opportunity to train with Tier 1 SMUs
Biden has not made any NATO offer, nothing that is in public domain anyways. People going overboard over some random suggestion is a bit pointless.

Not countering whatever you are saying but the american equivalent of this thread can identify DEVGRU/DELTA guys in PSD just by looking at the seams of their trousers.

True but identifying a Unit deployed in theater because of Overt Insignia is a different thing compared to intelligence gatherers who are looking for covert nuance.

Also - it gets harder to identify Specific Individuals within a unit. though.

Absolutely not the same thing. Remember, the above pic is from an active warzone. The Indian COAS pic is from inside India. You will see SF in a bodyguard capacity even in Delhi, the country's capital. This is nothing but a testament to the fattened egos of the babus.
Moreover, even US relieved CAG and/or SEALs from such duties in later stages in Afghanistan except for extremely high-value personnel such as the Secretary of State, VP, or President.
The two pics are very different and it'd be foolish to correlate the two.

Will the recently converted Airborne units get M4a1s and stuff that came with it (pvs14, peq2, eotech 552s, m203s, kac grips and kac suppressors ) ? Or they'll stick to the regiment issued FT Tar 21s ?

No they won't. M4s aren't being bought anymore. And the units that have it don't have it in excess to be fine with lending it to wanna be SF battalions.

How did mericans and the Afghan army lose to these clowns, if we give any average member in this forum a gun and gear, they will still look better, they have the equipment but do not know how to use it, and the room-clearing is all you have to see, the afghan army video posted earlier was impressive(for assets they had), this is just comedy.

Even hezbolla have better equipment than our boys.
That's because they fight and have to attack Israel. Our troops have to suck it up and take a defensive posture given our geopolitics and the weak civilian governments that avoid military action even where the risk is low.

The only way our special forces will get good equipment and our industry get orders, is if we engage in preemptive confrontation with our adversaries. No wars/fights = no equipment.
