Not a formation sign I am familiar with.

Maybe time to scrounge out details on the Independent Mech Brigades as well.

To start off with Ind Mech Brigades, this is the 340 (I) Mech Brigade nicknamed Scorpion/Stinger.

Came across this image (Bottom right corner). According to this photo 16th and 18th Divisions are under X Corps in Southern Command, but according to all most online resources and books, X Corps comes under South Western Command.

But what is this insignia ?

Seems like a Leopard/Tiger face ? Seems like insignia of 15th Infantry division (Panther)

But the 15th division is under 11 Corps.

Also, one reshuffle, the 23rd Infantry Division (Cockerel Division) based at Ranchi, has been moved under 17 Corps (Brahmastra Corps) from 1 Corps.

Look at the background black-cockerel in red flags.

These two insignias, two orange fishes in a circle, and the cobra are unknown divisions/brigades under the central command.

Anyone got any idea?

Lot of unknowns.

Awesome! Did not know general area had insignias ? I thought areas are denoted by the command, this is a new to me.

Yes. It would seem even Tripeak has come under Central Command. At least that's what can be concluded from the Yudh Abhyas 21 banner.

Surprising is 6 Mtn Div comes under 1 Corps which itself is under South Western Command (unless it has been plucked from 1 Corps).
Also which Corps is 14 Mtn Div Golden Key ?

Red flag with a Cobra (2nd picture bottom left), since this is at DRDO facility in Chandipur Base, I am assuming this is an air defence brigade insignia
