I try to made sense of this article and here's my 2 cents
Army now has a new permanent formation in Ladakh most likely the newly raised 72 div
Previously meant to be raised under 17 corps at pathankot but never 'fully' raised
Now one may ask how can we raise another division without accretion in troops and additional funding
For this I have a theory
The nucleus of this new division is the 84 inf brigade previously under 9 corps as a reserve formation .The second brigade most likely would be the 118(I) brigade
The third brigade most likely is a new raising done by pulling out RR formations
The divisional headquarters most likely would also be from a RR sector
The divisions organic artillery brigade could have been raised using wwr as several regiments of 105/130 mm artillery would be become reserves after induction of newer systems like m777/k9 recently
Also as per this article the new division is under 14 corps instead of the planned 17 corps , which makes sense given the ongoing rebalancing of forces
