29th Infantry Division (Gurj/Silver Mace)
Not a formation sign I am familiar with.
Maybe time to scrounge out details on the Independent Mech Brigades as well.
Another same insignia, the left Gorkha soldier's arm patch in the first picture.Reviving this thread...
Brahmastra corps vehicles deployed for tacking cyclone Yaas.
But what is this insignia ?
Seems like a Leopard/Tiger face ? Seems like insignia of 15th Infantry division (Panther)

But the 15th division is under 11 Corps.
@Tanmay
Thats the 59th Infantry Division or Trinetra Division based in Panagarh.Another interesting patch under Brahmastra Corps -
Looks like an eye with two thunders.
More clearer picture -
Left headlight of the front car
@Tanmay @Saumyasupraik Incase anyone interested
From top to bottom -Any idea on the flags on the banner. I see Central Command, 3rd Inf. Div. (Trishul Division) which doesn't come under Central Command and then what is the Yellow/Red flag, 3rd from the top
These two insignias, two orange fishes in a circle, and the cobra are unknown divisions/brigades under the central command.Second image with flags has a yellow background flag with serpent (like doctors emblem)
Also other insignias from central command
Maybe it is the 136th Independent Infantry Brigade Group. From top to bottom -
- Indian Army
- Central Command
- Unknown division/brigade insignia
- Tripeak brigade
- Madras Regiment
Tripeak brigade is 136th Independent Infantry Brigade based at Sumdo, H.P.Maybe it is the 136th Independent Infantry Brigade Group.
They were there as per this:-
And Central Command is known to be in control of just two formations:Indo-US bilateral exercise Yudh Abhyas 21 concludes

14 Inf Div
A separate Independent Inf Bde
This is likely the latter.

1 - 119 Mountain Brigade PanchshulTripeak brigade is 136th Independent Infantry Brigade based at Sumdo, H.P.
And 14th Mtn Division is Golden Key Division.
If you look at this picture, from left, first flag (? Seems like Panchshul Brigade? Brigade number not known), 2nd flag also unknown, 3rd flag (Cobra), 7th flag (two yellow fishes?)
Lot of unknowns.
Awesome! Did not know general area had insignias ? I thought areas are denoted by the command, this is a new to me.1 - 119 Mountain Brigade Panchshul
2 - 50 Parachute Brigade Shatrujeet
3 - Purva UP/MP Area
4 - Central Command
7 - Uttar Bharat Area
8 - 6 Mountain Division Garud
9 - ?
10 - 9 Mountain Brigade Ibex
Yes. It would seem even Tripeak has come under Central Command. At least that's what can be concluded from the Yudh Abhyas 21 banner.Awesome! Did not know general area had insignias ? I thought areas are denoted by the command, this is a new to me.
Also, 119 Mtn Bde and 9 Mtn Bde are both directly under Central Command ?
So currently, these are under central command?Yes. It would seem even Tripeak has come under Central Command. At least that's what can be concluded from the Yudh Abhyas 21 banner.
