Room interventions, even with the best SFs globally has very high risk, especially if the terrorists have high-caliber weapons like AK-47 with armour-piercing rounds.

Chance of death while clearing room is 50%-50%. RR/Army has to operate around civilian areas where terrorists are probably getting live-intel from locals about who is storming from which side. Terrorists are full of energy drugs (meth/cocaine) which makes them zombies, flashbang/bullet wounds to torso are easily brushed off.

Even during Pathankot attack, NSG was deployed in full-force, but they chose not to do room-to-room clearance, instead just blew up the entire 2-story building.

Indian Army's fight is not just with terrorists but also with considerate amount of hostile population of the valley.

You have to compromise between high casualties and high collateral damage. Lives lost cannot be bought back, houses razed can be built again.

I don't care. they need to learn. para profile says hostage rescue. what are they gonna do in such a scenario? Finally let the NSG take the lead?

Hostage rescue is different situation. Fighting terrorists is classic assymetrical warfare, why would you waste lives of Indian troops just to protect random infrastructure?

If you want, just look up reality of CQC. Its very different from what tacticool people try to make it out to be. Any room you enter without throwing a grenade first is a room where you could lose half your team.
