Yeah one of my relative actually lived in Doda & when I visited there told me the stories. There was planned ethnic cleansing of Hindus from Doda & Kishtwar regions & some massacres did take place. so here's my problem. india has said that china doesn't occupy any indian territory, thus effectively giving up the f4-f8 claim.

however, china continues to claim territory beyond LAC into the galwan valley.

Chinese have always patrolled up to Finger4. So where is the question of intrusion ??. You may have claims up to Finger 8 but were you in occupation or control of that ??

Nope. India still claims all land of entire aksai chin.
F4 -f8 included.

Now the challenge is to restore patrol till f8. But just patrolling doesn't make area ours. We patrolled before and yet Chinese made road there.

They dont. They're just paralyzed and stuck. They understand the worse case scenario - a Pakistan, China assault, but they're clueless to put the pieces together to defend against it. And with whatever party change there is a whole new approach on what to do with India's defence industry, China issue, etc.
