don't be so cruel man.. have you heard about any more such encounters after IA authorized to use live rounds on their ass? i can understand your frustration. if you read the new doctrine. the term "extra ordinary circumstance" is not clearly defined and it's up-to the local troops or co to interpret the meaning however he wants it to and they are empowered to take a call as per their best judgement.

this is similar to "Weapons Free" but not "Fire at Will" order... i hope this give you little comforts and trust the armed forces.. they are there for us..

they aren't really that "bird-brained" as you make of it. They will find another appropriate time for their mischief again forcing us to fire the first shot and then unofficially start the BOOM BOOM BOOM........

Meanwhile, they will gain sympathy from world media (if any they expect to get) by propagating the "self-defense" theory. In reality also, MMA is required for defensive skills more than for offensive ones.

on a philosophical note....

i think the moral of the story so far from these set of events is that even the mighty super power USA has no clue how to deal with a country which has all it's fundamentals covered as far as national security and economic power is concerned.

Hopefully young india will make future Bharat achieve the same status if not greater, more importantly drop this whole viswhaguru bunkum and go after real power.
